image, document and video etc.
(iii) Joystick: - Joystick is a pointing device whose function is
similar to a mouse. It is generally used to play video games.
(iv) Blu-ray disk: - Blu-ray Disc can store data of up to 128 GB. It
has been developed by the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA). It
is more advanced than CDs or DVDs.
(v) Device Driver:- A device driver is a form of system software
that enables a hardware device to be compatible with the
computer. Device drivers are operating-System specific.
(vi) FireWire:- FireWire is used with digital audio/video
Camcorders and personal computers(PC) and offers sustained
data transfer rates of over 3200Mbits/s
(vii) Internet:- The Internet is a global network of billions of
computers and other electronic devices. With the Internet,
it's possible to access almost any information, communicate
with anyone else in the world.

5. What is computer? Explain Input, Processing and Output.
A:-A computer is an electronic device which performs numerical
calculations (+, -,*, /) and logical operations at high speed and
produces information for the user.

Computer accomplishes its tasks in here basic stages namely:

Input, process and Output.

Input Processing Output

Input: It is the process of entering the data into the computer


system. For example: Marks of students of a class, etc.

Processing: It refers to series of actions by which the computer


converts raw data into information. The processing is done by CPU.

Output: It is the result which is called information.

6. What is Data Bus?

A:- A data bus is a system within a computer or device, consisting


of a connector or set of wires, that provides transportation for
data. Such as CPU and memory to the motherboard. It is
bidirectional.

7. Explain FDES cycle?

A:- FDES cycle is a machine cycle where F is fetch, D is decode, E is


execute and S is store.

8. Why HTTP is considered a stateless protocol?

A:- HTTP is called as a stateless protocol because each request is


executed independently, without any knowledge of the requests
that were executed before it, which means once the transaction
ends the connection between the browser and the server is also
lost.

9. What is BIOS?

A:- The full form of BIOS is the Basic Input Output System. BIOS is
software built in to a computer. As we switch on the computer, the
program is operated. Typically this program is housed in Read-Only
Memory (ROM), and is placed on the motherboard.

10. What are Protocols? Give two examples?

A:- It is a set of rules that need to be followed by the


communicating parties in order to have successful and reliable data
communication. For example - Ethernet and HTTP.

11. Describe the functions of a mouse?

A:- An important function of a computer mouse is to move the


cursor from place to place, open an icon, close or open an
application, select a folder, a text file, or drag-and-drop.

12. What is a tweet?

A:- Tweet is a message sent on Twitter. Twitter has become


internationally identifiable by its signature bird logo. So, going by
the Logo — Tweet is a message sent using twitter.
