1. Job Summary:
The Quality Lead for company’s Surface Production Management Business Line, has a function to continuously lead,
create and sustain a service Quality culture through Quality Management, responsibility and a “right first time”
commitment.
The Quality Lead ensures conformance and adherence to departmental policies, standards, procedures, processes,
strategies and plans, in order to deliver a standard of excellence in service quality through continuous improvement.

2. Accountabilities:
- Implement and monitor materials management for projects and reporting to the Project Manager.
- Report SQ incidents or non-conformances to management.
- Perform as per defined objectives, processes and procedures.

3. Job Responsibilities:
(a) Responsibilities
- Responsible for monitoring all departments within the SPM BL for adherence to the Company
Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) and Quality Management System (QMS), in order to
meet company’s ISO 9001 certification obligations and our client’s needs and expectations.
- Ensures that all company’s QMS, policies and procedures are known, understood and adhered to by
all SPM staff.
- Arrange and manage QMS training, guidance and conduct awareness classes for all new personnel, in
order to create a technically competent workforce matching future business requirements.
- Advising company management and departmental employees on the application of the QMS.
- Facilitating Quality related activities such as training courses, risk assessments, nonconformity
investigations, evaluations and audits, management reviews and as a consequence updating all QMS
documents appropriately.
- Liaising with SSHE (internal/external) managers or advisors to ensure risk assessments (HIRCA’s),
EAIA’s and SSHE related processes (JSA’s, SOP’s etc.) are congruent with company’s QMS.
- Liaising with suppliers, client and third party organizations (and their representatives) to ensure their
Quality related requirements are compatible with company, and that they are clearly communicated
to the management group.

- Assist SPM EVP in developing an organization capable of delivering an up to standard technical Quality
service in a safe and healthy environment.
- Actively support the implementation, and monitor the use of tools to enhance quality and efficiency.
- To provide expert advice on Quality issues to Operational and Engineering managers ensuring they
maintain the integrity and availability of their assets.
- Conduct internal/external monitoring and Quality audits to ensure compliance to standards,
compiling audit results, corrective actions and analysis. Also arrange and manage QMS audit plan for
the SPM BL.
- Via SKY monitor and analyze SHE and SQ results, review corrective action plans with the SDM’s and
EIC’s and ensure their closure.
- Actively participate in all Client Service Quality reviews as required.
- Coordinate an annual review of the QMS in it’s entirety, suggesting revisions and implementing
change where deemed necessary.
- Compiling and maintaining accurate records and statistics relevant to the QMS, make appropriate
reports in ORBIS and recommendations to management.
- Support line management in the implementation of the Management of Change standard, ensuring
that all changes and temporary deviations are documented and approved correctly through the
HIRCA & EAIA processes.
- Quality coaching, mentoring, supporting and advising company SPM employees, subcontractors, and
service providers on Quality matters that effect company’s ability to deliver safe and ”right first time”
operations.
- Review, approval and (where required) compile Quality documentation including (but not limited to)
Quality Plans, ITP’s, CAR’s/PAR’s, LTQR dossiers, WI’s, MS’s and SOP’s.
- Promoting and championing of a risk based approach to service excellence.
- Emphasizing a focus on continual performance improvement, and an endorsement for company’s
reputation for reliability and relentlessness regarding Service Quality.
- Promotes the client satisfaction methodology.
- Manage and monitor KPI’s to provide feedback on specific project perfornmance, and provide
information for assessment and identification of areas for improvement.
- Manages and Supervises contractual issues and obligations affecting Quality, in order to safeguard
company’s interests, minimizing exposure and ensuring compliance with UAE Quality related legal
requirments and International practices.
- Analyze sub-contract expression of interest and request for quotation submittals regarding Quality
requirments, through query resolution, contract award recommendation, negotiations and
finalization.

- Managing the lessons learned philosophy through project workshops, feedback and
knowledge/experience transfer.
- Involvement and input in the Risk Management, Lessons Learned, Experience Transfer and
Equipment Criticality philosophies.
- Assist in incident investigation and close out all incidents SQ & SHE Responsibilities (responsibility,
authority & accountability including occupational SQ & SHE).

4. Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


(a) Knowledge: Previous working knowledge and experience ISO 9001 pertaining to Quality, 14001 –
Pertains to Environment Management, 18001 – Pertaining to Occupational Health and safety, API
(Including Q2), ASME, ANSI, EEMUA, BSEN, ISO, QA/QC, Quality management Systems, Auditing
(b) Skills: (competencies required) Personnel Management – Managing QC Personnel including Sub
Contractors QA/QC, Instructor, Lead Auditor
(c) Experience: Over 20 years in the Oil and Gas, Drilling, Petro-Chemical, Piping and Fabrication
Industries, Areas of expertise include Inspection/NDT, Fabrication/Welding, Metallurgy and Piping
and pipelines and storage tanks (as required if project specific).
