Chapter II Instrument Installation

21
1. Scope of Application
Installation of Maccura fully Automatic Chemiluminescence Analyzers (i 1000, i 1000L, and i 1000S).

2. Preparation Before Installation

2.1 Site Selection
2.1.1 Environmental requirements
The environment in which the instrument is used must comply with the following requirements:

2.1.1.1 Room temperature: 10°C to 30°C

2.1.1.2 Relative humidity: ≤ 70%

2.1.1.3 Atmospheric pressure: 59.4 kPa to 106.0 kPa

2.1.1.4 If the room temperature and relative humidity are not proper, adjust them.

2.1.1.5 Do not place the instrument in an environment with large temperature fluctuations.

2.1.1.6 Avoid direct sunlight.

2.1.1.7 The place should be well ventilated.

2.1.1.8 Proper grounding must be guaranteed. Do not use the product in places where possible radio

wave interference, dust and sour volatile gas exist.

2.2 Power Supply Requirements

The power supply system needs to meet the following requirements:

2.2.1 Voltage: 220V±10%

2.2.2 Voltage between neutral wire and ground wire: < 3V

2.2.3 Frequency: 50±0.5Hz

2.2.4 2000VA UPS is required (for at least 1-hour use in case of power failure).

2.2.5 Independent grounding terminal should be provided (grounding resistance of less than 10 Ω or that

complies with hospital grounding requirements).

2.2.6 Do not put anything on top of the connected cables, no matter it is temporary, permanent or

intermittent. The cable layout cannot go through pedestrian roads.

2.2.7 Cables cannot be connected in loop or knotted, or twined together with the lines of other

neighboring electric devices.

2.2.8 Before cable connection, make sure that the power supply is off.

2.2.9 The system cannot be connected to the circuit of other interfering electric devices.

22
2.2.10 Do not use extended outlet or power strip. Do not use extension that has no protective conductor.

Otherwise, safe connection will be disconnected.

2.2.11 For the power control via a switch on the wall or a time relay, temporary power outage may

damage the analysis template and computer memory.

2.2.12 When adding or removing parts to the system, disconnect the system with power supply before

disconnecting the power cable of the relevant parts.

2.3 Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)

To guarantee a proper EMC environment for the analyzer, pay attention to the following points:

2.3.1 Keep the analyzer away from facilities with high electromagnetic radiation, such as dental beds,

pacers, and welding equipment.

2.3.2 Keep the analyzer away from high-power devices that are started up frequently, such as

refrigerators and centrifuges.

2.3.3 Keep the analyzer away from strong magnetic fields, such as radiology equipment.

2.3.4 Do not connect too many devices to the power strip for the analyzer.

2.3.5 During a test, do not plug in or out other devices that are connected to the same power strip as the

analyzer.

2.3.6 Make sure that the analyzer power socket is reliably grounded. Do not use non-standard power

cable.

2.4 Installation Space Requirements

2.4.1 Analyzer: 1200 x 755 x 675 (L x W x H, in mm), approx. 170 kg.

2.4.2 A gap of over 0.5 m wide should be reserved at the rear side and left and right sides of the

instrument each to ensure proper heat dissipation and space for operating the power switch. The

installation space for analyzer must meet the following requirements:

23
Unit: mm

Figure 2.5.2 Instrument Size

2.4.3 Door of laboratories must be at least 1.1 m wide. Elevator and corridors must be spacious enough

to facilitate turning of the instrument during handling.

2.4.4 The ground must be level to facilitate installation and handling.

2.4.5 The desktop should be strong enough to bear the weight of the instrument (load capacity: ≥ 200

kg/m2).

2.4.6 There should be no perceptible vibration.

2.5 Space Requirements

2.5.1 Packing size

2.5.1.1 Analyzer packing case: 1310 x 920 x 910 (L x W x H, in mm), 235 kg.

2.5.1.2 Accessory kit: 612 x 537 x 727 (L x W x H, in mm), 27 kg.

2.5.2 Placement requirements

2.5.2.1 At least 50 cm of space must be provided around the analyzer packing case.

24
3. Unpacking
