C. Safety Precautions
(1) On the panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that:
- The APU BLEED pushbutton switch is in the OFF position (the ON legend is off).
- The ENG 1 BLEED and the ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton switches are in the OFF positio
n (the OFF legends are on).
(b) Put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to operate these switches.
(2) On the HP ground connector put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to supply the grou
nd air.

D. ECAM Warning Check before Deactivation
(1) On the Upper ECAM E/WD make sure that the display unit does not show these warnings associat
ed with the operative pack:
- AIR PACK 1 REGUL FAULT or AIR PACK 2 REGUL FAULT
- AIR COND CTL 1-A FAULT or AIR COND CTL 2-A FAULT
- AIR COND CTL 1-B FAULT or AIR COND CTL 2-B FAULT.
4. Procedure
SUBTASK 21-51-00-040-052-A
A. Deactivation of the Air Conditioning Pack
NOTE: This procedure is applicable for the pack flow-control unit with part number 1806A0000-02 or 1
806B0000-01 or 1806B0000-02 or 1806D0000-01.
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE COMPONENT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY
COOL TO PREVENT BURNS.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE. DISCARD L
OOSE OR USED LOCKWIRE IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE OR USED LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR
MAKE YOU BLIND.
(1) For PACK 1:
(a) In the cockpit, on the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the PACK 1 pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend comes o
n).
(2) For PACK 2:
(a) In the cockpit, on the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the PACK 2 pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend comes o
n).
(3) On the related pack flow-control unit (1) :

(a) Remove and discard the lockwire (2) from the pressure seal cap (3).
(b) Remove the pressure seal cap (3) from the pack flow-control unit (1).
NOTE: This will cause the air to flow out of the pack flow-control unit (1) and close the
butterfly valve.
(c) Make sure that the forked-valve position-indicator lever (5) is in the CLOSED position.
(d) Install the pressure seal cap (3) between the forks of the forked-valve position-indicator lev
er (5) and on the threaded boss (4).
(e) Safety the pressure seal cap (3) with Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - (Materi
al Ref. 14QFB1).

(3) On the related pack flow-control unit (1) :

(a) Remove and discard the lockwire (6) from the locking screw (7).
(b) Remove the locking screw (7), the plate of connecting cable (5) and the O-ring (4) from the
pack flow-control unit (1).
NOTE: This will cause the air to flow out of the pack flow-control unit (1) and close the
butterfly valve.
(c) Discard the O-ring (4).
(d) Make sure that the hole of the manual override lever (3) is aligned with the hole of the hall
sensor-plate support (2).
(e) Install these parts in the hole of the manual override lever (3) and the hole of the hall senso
r-plate support (2):
- The locking screw (7)
- The plate of connecting cable (5).
(f) Safety the locking screw (7) with Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - (Material R
ef. 14QFB1).

(2) Install the access panel Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002:
