This study investigates the effects of partially replacing sand with sawdust and cement with fly ash in concrete, focusing on M25 grade concrete. The experimental results indicate that a 10% replacement of cement with fly ash yields better compressive strength, while replacing sand with 5% sawdust also enhances strength compared to nominal concrete. Overall, the use of sawdust and fly ash not only reduces construction costs but also addresses waste disposal issues.

under normal room temperature.
Based on the investigations on sawdust and fly ash, the
following conclusions were made:-
 The workability of mortar and concrete containing coal
ash decreases slightly as the coal ash content increases
which is due to the higher water demand of coal ash.

(IJSRD/Vol. 10/Issue 3/2022/049)

 The experiment of this has revealed that replacement of

ordinary Portland cement by coal ash from 10% leads
to better compressive strength than that of the control
mortar with 100% ordinary Portland cement. And the
compressive strength decreases as the coal ash
replacement increases over 10%.
 After all the strength obtained in OPC with partial
replacement of cement with fly ash, the strength obtain
with 10% replacement of cement.
 Adding of saw dust partial replacement of fine aggregate,
percentages of 5%,7.5%,10%,12.5%,and15%.
 At 5 % replacement of saw dust leads to better
compressive strength, compared to nominal concrete.
After that increasing percentage of saw dust decreases
the compressive strength of the concrete.
