The physician accomplishes the important part in the process of case taking with the symptoms elicited from the
patient, to form the individualizing totality of symptoms or the conceptual image. In order to reach a similimum,
certain laid out procedures are followed which are also accustomed rules to explain scientifically the pathway from
patient to prescription.
Steps involved in bringing the Similimum
Collection of signs & symptoms from the patient and logical arrangement of all the signs & symptoms.
Conceptual image of the diseade is portrayed ,in which important symptoms are arranged according to their
hierarchy.
Rearrangement/ modification according to the Repertory used and method used for repertorisation.
*This totality that consist of the symptoms selected for the repertorisation is called as the Repertorial Totality.
4 Symptoms are converted into rubrics provided by the repertory.
The symptoms converted into rubrics provided by the repertory and are denoted against the respective
symptoms,together form the Repertorial Syndrome.
Some of the symptoms remain as they are not taken-up to include in the repertorial syndrome.
Remaining symptoms not included in repertorial syndrome forms the Potential Differential Field , which forms the basis
for differentiation of the closely similar remedies obtained after repertorisation.
