What is IELTS

IELTS is an acronym for International English Language


Testing System.

It is a globally recognized test of English language


proficiency for non-native speakers of English. The test
was established in 1989 and its popularity has grown
dramatically in recent years. Now over 2 million
candidates are tested worldwide each year.
• Two Types of IELTS testing system:

• Academic Tests:
• Is for university level admission

• General tests:
• Is for most non-academic level requirements

Apply for an Enquiry on Results at your test center
within 6 weeks of the test day.

You must pay an enquiry fee which is fully refunded if

Overview of IELTS modules
The test consists of 4 modules, each testing a separate
skill:
Listening
Reading
Writing
Speaking
The listening and speaking components are the same in
both IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training
