Statement of Purpose
Honourable Selection Committee,
I am MD Aminul Islam, and I am submitting this to express my sincere interest in the MBA Global
program at the University of Greenwich. With a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the
National University of Bangladesh and a career with a passion for marketing and business development, I
have always sought opportunities to refine my managerial skills and enhance my understanding of global
business practices. This program, with its strong focus on real-world industry scenarios and full-range
curriculum, is the ideal next step in my academic and professional journey.
During my undergraduate education, I developed a strong foundation in management principles, which
was complemented by practical experience during a challenging period when academic sessions were
suspended due to the pandemic. I began as a part-time intern at B71 Limited and gradually moved to the
role of Senior Executive and then became an Assistant Manager. Working in these positions as a
manager, I have been successful in making international partnerships, such as with China's Heley
Chemical Industry, and directly dealing with highly acclaimed brands such as Bata. I have not only
sharpened my skill in cross-cultural communication and global business operations but also have gained
an experiential sense of the opportunities and challenges of the current globalized world through these
experiences.
The rapidly evolving nature of international business calls for leaders who not only have an academic
grounding in theoretical principles but also possess the ability to confront practical, actual problems. The
MBA Global degree at the University of Greenwich is designed particularly to empower recent graduates
and early-stage professionals by exposing them to advanced knowledge of international business trends,
entrepreneurship, ethics, and strategic management. I am particularly fascinated by the emphasis of the
program on:
Global Business Practice and Dynamics: The focus of the curriculum on understanding the intricacies
of international trade, international supply chains, and contemporary business issues is absolutely in line
with my professional goals and experience.
Real-World Industry Situations: Through interaction with simulated learning projects, consultancy
projects for business, and work-based projects, I will be able to directly apply theoretical knowledge to
real-world solutions.
Leadership and Change Management: The modules of the program on strategic management,
leadership, and change management play a vital role in developing the skills necessary to manage diverse
teams in a global setting.
My long-term goal is to set up a consultancy firm that helps emerging market companies expand their
international presence. I envision myself building a bridge between local enterprises and international
business opportunities to enable sustainable development and innovation. The comprehensive nature of
the MBA Global program, covering subjects ranging from global data analytics to financial resource
management, will empower me with the advanced skill set necessary to advise businesses on global
strategic, ethical, and innovative practices.
The University of Greenwich is a premier university that not only values academic success but also

the opportunity to learn from excellent professors and be part of a diverse student body will further
