GUIDELINES FOR GROUP ASSIGNMENT 1 (50% marks)
Group ePortfolio Assignment
For this assignment, you will work in small groups to create a comprehensive
ePortfolio that showcases your learning, achievements, and professional development
throughout this course by discussing the given topics within the appointed group to
achieve PLO4 (interpersonal skills).
Objectives:
- Collaborate effectively to compile evidence of your collective knowledge and skills.
- Reflect critically on your academic and personal growth.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using ePortfolio tools and technologies.
- Develop a polished, professional online presence that highlights your qualifications.
Guidelines:
1. Group Formation (There are 8 students per group; you will be assigned; refer to the
student’s list.)
2. ePortfolio Components: Each group ePortfolio should include:
A. Home Page with Group Introduction
- Provide an overview of your group members and the tasks you're completing.
B. Individual Pages for each Group Member
- Biography, resume/CV, personal statement of goals and interests.
- Curated collection of best work samples, projects, writings, multimedia, etc.
- Reflective statements discussing learning outcomes and growth.
C. Collaborative Group Projects Page
- Documentation and samples from key group projects.
- Reflection on group processes, challenges overcome, and lessons learnt,
especially as follows:
a) The introduction of the contracts (history of the contracts, etc.)
b) Explain the types of Uqud Musamma (nomination contracts) in theory and
previous practices.
c) Explain the types of Uqud Musamma practice in contemporary waqf activities.
d) Illustrate the contracts.

D. Social Media Campaign
- Design a series of 3-5 social media posts about your chosen pairing.
- Posts should be educational and engaging, suitable for platforms like Instagram,
LinkedIn, or TikTok.
- Include hashtags #UMKEducationalWaqf.
3. ePortfolio Tools
- Use the provided ePortfolio platform/software or any multimedia website builder.
- Ensure mobile responsiveness and accessibility best practices.
4. Project Management
- Create a task timeline and delegate responsibilities among members.
- Schedule regular group meetings and check-ins.
- Use collaboration/communication tools like shared documents, group chat, etc.
5. Evaluation Criteria
- Comprehensive, well-organized, and visually appealing content.
- Depth of reflections and insights demonstrating learning.
- Quality, relevance, and variety of artifacts included.
- Effective collaborative processes and team coordination.
- Professionalism, polish, and portfolios's intentional presentation.
6. Submission
- Each group will share their ePortfolio website at the end of the term.
- Instructor and peers will provide feedback.
- Submission Date: Week 10 of UMK’s Academic Calendar.
- Channel of Submission: Through eCampus. Do not send a hard copy.
