Go the home page of the PARIVESH portal.

Know Your
Approval tab
Click on the “Know Your Approval” tab on
the PARIVESH homepage, and the user
will arrive at the KYA landing screen.

After arriving at the landing page, the
user shall get the following options:
➢ Project/Activity
➢ Upload Project area of interest GIS
Map/KML File
➢ Enter Captcha

The user gets a provision to select
activities listed in the Project/Activity
dropdown.

If the user selects any activity such as
Pesticides Industry and Pesticide-
specific Intermediates, Coal Washeries,
Distilleries, etc from the drop-down list,
corresponding sub-activities shall
appear in the sub-activity drop-down.

If the user selects “Others” from the
drop-down list, a text box will appear
for entering the text of the sub-activity.
The same of the sub-activity entered
shall appear in the report.
Special Case: For activity Townships and
Area Development Projects there shall

be two capacity to be entered by user
Built up area (Sq. mtr) and Covering
area (Ha) hence, two input boxes shall
appear.

After selecting the Project/Activity, the
user is required to select the Sub-
Activity from the drop-down list.

After selecting Project/Activity and Sub-
Activity, the user is required to enter
the “Total Project Area(TPA)”.

After selecting the Project/Activity,
Sub-Activity, and Total Project
Area(TPA), the user is required to
upload the Project area of interest GIS
Map/KML File*and check whether
system-based validation for the file has
been applied. If the KML file is not

uploaded, the user will get a note
saying Note: Please upload KML file
only.

GIS Screen
After submitting all the details, GIS
screen will appear and show the
location of the project/ activity on
the map in zoom view. It will ask the
user “Do you want to proceed with
current location?”.

The system will ask the user “Do you
want to proceed with current
location?”.
➢ On clicking ‘YES’, the business
rules (DSS) shall run to find the
clearances applicable as per the
activity, sub activity, capacity of

the project/ Activity.
➢ On clicking no, the user will be
taken to the KYA Landing Page.

The user can generate a report after
clicking on the “Generate Report”
option.
