Preface

The International Contact Dermatitis Research

Group (ICDRG) updated their standard series
in “Proposal for a revised international standard
series of patch tests” 1 ; 34 allergens/test preparations
from three standard series from Europe (EECDRG),
from USA (NACDG), and from Japan (JSDS) were
compared. They were divided in a modified interna-
tional standard series (20 allergens), and an extend-
ed international standard series and additional
useful allergens (8+6, respectively). These 34 aller-
gens/test preparations are reviewed in this booklet.
To aid the reader, we provide an abbreviated expo-
sure sheet which we hope will be of practical value.
The editors welcome comments, additions, correc-
tions, and suggestions for future editions.
We would like to thank all our contributors for their
excellent work.
