Setting up your AVEVA account on your


Android

This guide will help you setup your Android mobile phone to access your emails and
documents.

1. What you need before you start?

Your mobile phone

Your AVEVA Account


Employees
You can test access to your AVEVA Account (e.g. [email protected]) by signing
into OneSpace.

Contractors
You can test access to your AVEVA account (e.g. [email protected]) by signing
into portal.office.com

If you can’t remember your password then you can ask for it to be reset by sending an
email to [email protected] or calling AVEVA IT Service Centre.

Backup your Android mobile phone


You can do this by going to Settings → Cloud and accounts → Backup and restore
Tap on Backup Settings and scroll down to choose the option BACK UP

Google Account details


This is the Google account you use to access the Google Play Store normally ending in
@gmail.com

Android phone requirements to access your


corporate email
You will only be able to access your corporate email if you use a

• Samsung S7 or S8 and
• Your Android phone is running on Android OS 6.0, 7.0 or 8.0
You can check which Operating System your Android is on by tapping Settings →

2. What will change?

AVEVA Account for email


All your corporate Apps and email will be accessed through your AVEVA Microsoft
Corporate id e.g. [email protected]

Outlook App for all AVEVA corporate email

Mobile phone remotely managed through Intune and


not Airwatch

Mandatory passcode
AVEVA requires you to have a 6 digit (not consecutive) numeric passcode set on your
phone. You will be prompted to change your passcode every 6 months.

Wifi network
You won’t be able to connect to the Schneider Electric (SE) corporate wireless network
with your phone. You will now have to use the SE Guest network. Details and login
credentials vary by region, please check with your local IT contact or the SE 2929IT
help desk.

3. Un-enroll your device from Airwatch
In this step you will unenroll your device from Airwatch. All your corporate Scneider
Electric Apps will be uninstalled and you will remove your Schneider Electric email
from your device. This is an essential step before enabling your AVEVA email.

Launch the Agent (Airwatch) app on your phone

Select the device to un-enroll


Upon launching Agent (Airwatch) you should see screen (1). Tap the right top
three dots to bring up the pop-up window on Screen (2)

Tap the Unenroll

4. What is Remote Management (Intune)
In order to access your corporate email, you will need to install the AVEVA mobile remote
management tool called Intune. This tool operates in a similar fashion to Airwatch and allows
AVEVA to protect company information.

5. Set up Intune Company Portal

Download and install Intune Company Portal from the


Google Play Store
If you are in mainland China, please use the Huawei App Store.

Tap on “SKIP” to
expedite to the
next screen.

Open the Intune Company Portal and start the Sign in


Tap the “OPEN” button to start the app.

Tap on “Sign in”

6. Permit the Intune Company Portal to manage your
corporate data

Permit the Company Portal to make and manage calls

The App needs this


permission to report
your mobile serial
number and cellular
antenna ID. Neither
AVEVA nor the App will
make calls on your
mobile.

You don’t have to install these Apps. They are optional for you to use.

Tap on an App and tap
“Install” automatically to
install it on your mobile
phone.

7. Set up your company email through Outlook

Download and install the Outlook App from the Play


Store
If you are in mainland China, please use the Huawei App Store.

Open your Outlook App on your phone

Add your Corporate email account by


entering your AVEVA account

Allow AVEVA to administer the Outlook App

You can only use the Outlook App to access your corporate email.

Outlook to be used for all corporate email and
calendar management
Your meetings and email will no longer appear in the iOS native Mail and Calendar
App. This all needs to be managed through the Microsoft Outlook app.

8. Setup Skype for Business (Optional)

Install Skype for Business from the App Store or


Intune Company Portal
Start-up Skype for Business and enter your AVEVA Account
details to sign in.

Remove your Schneider Electric login from advanced


settings
If you previously signed into Skype with your Schneider Electric account, remember to
remove your [email protected] from under the Advanced options in
the Sign in page.

Microphone may be muted by default when joining


calls
Remember to unmute your microphone when joining a Skype call from your mobile
phone as it may be muted by default. To do this go to Phone Settings, Skype for
Business, and turn on the Microphone.

9. Reinstall Ping ID on your Android

Why install PingID


? PingID is important because it allows you to authenticate Schneider Electric
applications (e.g. IDS) when you are not on the network.

Send a service request to unpair your device on


Schneider Electric 2929IT
Click on this URL to request unpairing of your device.

The automated
process takes about
5 minutes. Once it
is completed you
will receive a
confirmation email
from 2929IT and
can continue with
the installation of
PingID.

Download and install PingID from the


Google Play Store
Search for PingID on the App Store and install the application.

Navigate to the PingID setup page on your PC web
browser
Inside the Schneider Electric Network
If you are inside the Schneider Electric network please use the URL:

Sign on using
your Schneider
Electric Account
i.e. SESA######
and password.

Outside the Schneider Electric Network


If you are outside the Schneider Electric network please use the URL:
https://desktop.pingone.com/se

Click on the Spice link


which will ask you to enter
your Schneider Electric
Account i.e. SESA######
and password. Once you
enter your credentials the
next page will start the
enrollment of PingID.

Choose the option to authenticate through the mobile
App

Click the button “I already

Open the PingID App on your mobile phone

Authenticate your mobile using the PingID App

10. Create a shortcut to the IDS (Schneider Electric
International Directory) on your Android phone

? Why install IDS


You no longer have access to the Schneider Electric (SE) address book within Outlook.
If you want to look up your SE colleagues email addresses you will need to use IDS.

Open a web browser on your Android phone such as


Chrome
Type in the URL: https://spiceportal.schneider-electric.com/web/ids

Sign in with your Schneider Electric Account

Enter your Schneider Electric


Account details i.e.
SESA###### and password.

Authenticate with PingID


After signing in you will be asked to authenticate with PingID. Please do so you can
progress to the next screen.

Add IDS to home screen to create an icon on your
home screen
Tapping this icon will open up the IDS in your default browser.
