ELECTRONIC PADDLE SHIFT SYSTEM - TRACTION CONTROL - ASSISTED GEAR CHANGE

PREMISE:
These technologically advanced and reliable software and hardware systems, allow to fully exploit the potential of the drivetrain and powertrain, supporting both the
driver who seeks the best time on the track, helping him to have maximum performance, and the less experienced driver, allowing him to express himself at his best,
right away.
The transmission actuation technology that we have equipped with the ATS RR Turbo is completely electronic, its actuators have a very high linear speed and have an
operating life of over 100,000 km making them absolutely superior to pneumatic systems that are absolutely not able to achieve similar levels of reliability
performance.
- TECHNICAL DETAILS –

1. ELECTRONIC PADDLE SHIFT SYSTEM (of sequential implementation)

- IMMEDIATE REPONSE TO THE DRIVER DEMAND: 2 milliseconds of response delay and executions of shift system both in shifting and downishift are far
inferior to a manual shift system it goes from 80ms average of a manual shift system to an implementation time of 30ms average easily.
- DINAMIC STRATEGIES: ensure maximum performance , always using the lowest time of cut off, both for the external conditions, and for the gearbox
used
- The SHIFTING is done without clutch. The synchronism between the two system actuators (the throttle actuator and the gearbox one) allows repetitions
of close movement with 5 down shift sequences within less than a second.

GCU (gearbox control unit)

- MICROPOCESSORS with 32bit architecture, with working frequencies above 100Mhz
- HARDWARE and SOFTWARE: with advanced strategies, allow a complete control of the gearbox
- SHORTER TIME OF SHIFT SYSTEM AND MOVEMENTS
• Respects the mechanical part, avoiding damages to the gearbox:
• Two Hardaware channels dedicated to the cut-off
• Two map switches that the driver can use in real time
• Different time of cut-off
• Configurable Blip for single gear shifting and advanced strategies.
• Each gear has its own Blip time in downshift and cut time in Upshift.
• The dynamic cut off that works with a strategy based on the use of closed loop on barrel
- VERIFIES THE SHIFTING CUT-OFF TIMES and allow the system to adapt to changes of external conditions as Rain, Dry, Grip, Various differentials, Bump,
etc.)
- The STRATEGIES: are complemented by features such as assisted shift system, the engine rpm protection during the downshifting, the control of the slip,
the traction controls
- DEDICATED PROGRAM to the neutral and a configuration of recovery mode in order ti allow the gearbox operation in any condition.
- Possibility of INTERVENTION IN THE CALIBRATION OF THE SOFTWARE and programming by the no-laptop user allow the use of the system in any
situation with simplicity.

2. TRACTION CONTROL
- n.12 different maps of gane to intervene on the cutting / switching off of the engine through small or large corrections on the Traction Control
map.
- From completely dry to ice, with a gradual transition from one condition to another.
- The analysis quality of the slip control is very high, thanks to the dedicated microprocessor.
- Speed signal acquired with phonic wheels up to 80 teeth (*) with very high frequencies per second, similar to ABS, which allow to perceive
the skating conditions very quickly and therefore to intervene immediately with the appropriate corrections.
(* The acquisition speed of the various speeds is much higher than the Traction Control managed by the injection control units, where
the speed signals are managed with phonic wheels with 9 or maximum 18 teeth per wheel.)

3. ASSISTED GEAR CHANGE

- Ensures maximum performance because it allows the driver to change gear at the perfect moment.
- The change always takes place in automatic pre-limiter warning light, that is, neither before during maximum engine speed, nor after in the
limiter zone with consequent loss of time.
