Monday- Science activity-Shaving cream writing
Material needed: -1 bottle of shaving cream per class
How to:
1. Put a little bit of shaving cream on the table for each student. Have them
write things in the shaving cream.
Tuesday- Game Balloon game
Material needed: One paper cup per student, 1 balloon per student
How to:
1. Blow up the balloons, throw them up in the air and play music.
2. Students try to catch the balloons in their cups before the music stops
Wednesday: Oven Baked S’mores
Materials needed:
● Graham Crackers (2 per student)
● Large marshmallows (1 per student)
● Hershey bars (⅓ bar per student)
● Oven
● Baking paper
● Plate (per student)
How to Make:
1. Snap graham crackers in half and on one side put a marshmallow and
on the other side place a chocolate piece
2. Bake in oven
3. Match marshmallows with chocolate pieces and enjoy!
Thursday-Art activity Friendship bracelets:
Material needed: 2 different colors of pipe cleaners per student, few scissors per class
How to:
1. Have students choose their colors of pipe cleaners and then twist those
around each other as seen in the picture. Have students share their bracelets with
their friends.

Monday- Science activity-Plants in a cup
Need: one plastic cup per student, one hand full of soil per student, 5 seeds per
student.
1. Add soil and seeds in the plastic cup.
2. Students write their names on the cup and decorate it
3. Keep the plant in the classroom for the week and have them
take it home on Fridayk
Tuesday-Game Toilet paper mummy race
Need: two toilet paper rolls per class
1. Divide the class into two teams. Each team needs to dress the first
person in line as a toilet mummy.
2. Once the student is dressed in toilet paper, he/she must run from one
side of the other and back.
3. Repeat for the rest of the students in line. Have fun!
Wednesday- Banana Chocolate Treats
Materials Needed:
● Banana (half per student)
● Nutella (1 spoon per student)
● Sprinkles (1 jar per class)
● Tray (to put the bananas on to cool in the freezer/fridge)
● Spoons (per student)
● Popsicle sticks ( per student)
How to make:
1. Peel the bananas and cut in thirds.
2. Stab with a popsicle stick
3. Use a spoon to spread the nutella
4. Have students pick what sprinkle they want and they can add that to their banana.
5. Place the bananas on a tray and put in the fridge/freezer to chill.
Thursday-Art Blooming Water Lilies
Material needed:
½ A4 white paper per student, crayons,scissors
bowl with water for the whole class
How to: First, draw and color the flowers. Second, cut them out.
Fold the leaves inside. Make sure they fold strongly.
Finally, place the folded lilies in the water and watch them unfold. It’s
pretty amazing. The more you make the bigger effect it has. It’s just a
matter of seconds for them to open.

Monday- Science activity Dinosaur Fossil
Material needed for 10 students: 1 1/4 Cups Salt, 5 Cups
All-Purpose Flour, 2 Cups Water, baking sheet, plastic dinosaurs,
oven, bowl.

How to:
1. Mix all the ingredients.
2. Give each student a handful of dough and have them roll it
out as seen on the picture.
3. Students make a print with their plastic dinosaur on their dough.
4. Bake in the oven for about 20min
Tuesday-Game Popcorn race
Material needed: `
-straw one per student, popcorn one bag per class
How to:
1. Students line up on one side of the room with a straw and a
popcorn.
2. When you said GO students blow in the straw to make the
popcorn go forward. First person to the other side of the room
wins!
Wednesday- Sand Castle Cake Pops
Materials needed:
● Vanilla Cupcakes (per student)
● Icing (1 spoon per student) (unless custard cupcake then do
not need)
● Crushed Graham Crackers
● Sand Castle Molds (1 mold per student)
● Cooking spray
● Plates (per student) + 2
● Spoons (per student) + 2
● Kids Gloves
How to make:
1. Students will crush up the vanilla cupcake
2. Give small spoon of icing to mix with crushed cupcake
3. Spray cooking spray into molds
4. Push cupcake mixture into molds and chill
5. While chilling, crush up graham crackers
6. Take out of molds, top with graham cracker sand and enjoy!

How to:
1. Step One Pour 2 cups cornstarch into a bowl

Monday-Science activity Cloud in a cup
Need: 1 plastic cup per student, cold water, shaving cream (one bottle
per class), food coloring (any color is ok)
1. Add cold water in a plastic cup
2. Spray on the shaving cream and add a few drops of food
coloring. (Be careful to not spill the cup with colored water on
students’ clothes)
Tuesday-Game Jungle course
Need: chairs from the classroom, 1 yarn(ribbon) per class (don’t need
a full yarn so two classes could also share). Yarn can also be replaced
with ribbon
1. Tie the ribbon criss cross around the chairs
2. Students need to crawl through without touching the ribbon.
3. Use the ribbon to play limbo if you have time! (two students hold the
ribbon and the other students try to go under without touching.
Wednesday 7/7 - Baking Sunshine Cookies (Assigned by Sammi (same
as the Kinder afterschool baking)
Materials Needed:
● Oreos (per student)
● Pretzel sticks (5 per student)

Monday-Science activity Magic Milk Experiment
Need: half a box of milk per class (can be old milk), 1 plastic plate per student
(use the snack plates), food coloring, 1 Q-tip per student and half a cup dish
soap per class.
1. Pour some milk into the shallow dish.
2. Add approximately 5-6 drops of food colouring.
3. Prepare the liquid dish soap in a small bowl, adding a small amount of
water and mix
4. See how the colors move around when it comes in contact with the dish soap
from the Q-tip

How to: Put up colored tape by the door and have students throw little balls of

amount of bubble solution
How to:
1. Students form their pipecleaner to make it into a wand with a hoop on top
2. Give each student a small cup with bubble solution and take them outside to blow bubbles.

Monday-Science Hawaiian volcano
Need: 1 roll of foil per class, 1 paper cup per student, half a cup baking soda
per student, vinegar, 2 trays per class (can use oven tray)
How to:
1. Students shape the foil around the paper cup to make it look like a
volcano with a big hole in the middle
2. Place the volcano on a plate or tray
3. Add a few spoons of baking soda in the volcano
4. Give the students a cup of vinegar and a spoon so that they can poor in the vinegar into
the volcano to see what happens
Tuesday-Game Hallway Balloon Relay
Need: 2 plastic spoons per class, two plastic eggs per class, two
hard flat books per class, two balloons per class.
How to:
Divide the class into two teams. Students line up on one end of the
hallway and start 1 of 3 relays, 1: One student from each team tries to balance the plastic egg
on the spoon and run from one end of the hallway and back to then hand over the egg and
spoon to their team mate.
2: Same thing but instead of egg and spoon, students try to balance a book on their head and
run from one end of the hallway back and forth.
3. Students do the relay by trying to run with the balloon between their knees
Wednesday 7/21 Baking - Oreo Cheesecake Cups
Materials Needed:
● Oreos (1 per student)
● Cream Cheese (1 spoon per student)
● Sugar (1 spoon per student)
● Vanilla extract ( 1 tiny drop per student)
● Clear Cups (per student)
● Fork or beater
● Spoons for eating (per student + 2)

How to:
STEP 1: Beat together cream cheese, sugar and vanilla.
STEP 2: Crush up Oreos and place inside the cup.

Directions:
1. Fill your cup with about 2/3 of the way with oil.
2. Fill the rest of the cup with water
3. Add drops of food coloring to the cups to see what happens
4. Drop in the Alka Seltzer to see what happens!
Tuesday-Game Cup Tower
Need: 15 Paper cups per class and a small ball
1. Stack the paper cups and see how many you can knock down
with the ball

Need: 1 colored popsicle stick per student, one paper star per student
(students can cut it out themselves using construction paper), 4 jewel

Monday-Science Moving Pepper Experiment
Need: 1 bottle of pepper per class, 1 paper cup per student, water,
liquid soap
How to: 1- Give each student a paper cup with water in it. (Make
sure it isn’t too full)
2- Place the pepper in the cup. (Just a few shakes, maybe 2-3)
3- Put liquid soap on the left index finger
4- Put the right index in the cup with pepper
5- After taking out the right index finger, place the left index finger in the cup
6- Students will notice that the right index finger has pepper on it, however the left index finger
has no pepper on it.
Tuesday-Game Hallway limbo
Need: 2 meter rope or string per class, music
How to: play the music and have students try to go under the rope without touching it

How to:
1. Students use their teeth to scratch of the white cream
of the oreo to make them look like the different phases of

Monday-Science Fireworks in a Jar
Need: 1 jar/plastic cup per student, 2 colors of food coloring per class (bottles
can be rotated between classes), warm water, 2 forks per class, 1 cup oil per
student
How to: 1. Fill your jar 3/4 of the way full with warm water
2. In a separate bowl, mix a 3-4 tablespoons of oil and several drops of
different colors of food coloring (I used 4 drops of each color: red, yellow,
blue, and green).
3. Use a fork to gently mix the oil and food coloring together.
4. Gently pour the oil mixture into the jar.
5. Watch what happens—the food coloring will slowly sink out of the oil
and into the water. When this happens, it will expand and begin to mix with the other
colors
Tuesday-Game Foil Moons
Need: 1 roll of foil per class, one bucket per class
How to: 1. Students get pieces of foil and roll them to little balls
2. Students take turn throwing their foil moons into the bucket to see who can get the most
points
Wednesday- Baking Cookie Wands
Thursday-Art Gummy Bear Ice cream
Need: 1 ice cream popsicle tray per class, 4 gummy bears per student, ½
cup apple juice per student.
1. Add gummy bears in the ice cream tray.
2. Fill with juice and close the tray with the ice cream sticks
3. Put in the freezer overnight

Monday-Science Leak Proof Bag
Need: 4 plastic bag per class, 1 sharp pencil per student, water
1. Fill the bags with water and close it
2. Poke pencils through bags. Hold the bag upright for a better result.
3. Be sure not to push the pencils all the way through the bags. The tip
needs to be poking out one side, and the eraser needs to be sticking out
the other side (see top photo). However, if you pull the pencil completely
out the other side, the bag will leak

Monday-Science Balloon Chemistry
Need: 2 teaspoons Baking soda per student, 1 cup vinegar per student, 1
balloon per student, empty water bottle, one funnel or spoon per class.
How to:
1. Blow up the balloon a bit to stretch it out
2. Use the funnel and teaspoon to add baking soda to the balloon.
We started with 2 teaspoons and added a teaspoon for each
balloon.
3. Fill the container with Vinegar halfway
4. When your balloons are all made, attach to containers making
sure you have a good seal!
5. Lift up the balloon to dump the baking soda into the container of vinegar
6. Watch the balloon fill up

Need: two water guns (can be rotated between all classes), targets to shoot at: 1 plastic cup, 2
plastic toys
How to: Students take turns shooting the water gyn at the targets to see if they can knock them
over.
Wednesday- Baking Strawberry cheesecake cups
Thursday-Art Clay and Straw Building
Need: 3 Straws per student, ½ jar of clay per student
1. Cut the straws to shorter pieces.
2. Build buildings using the clay.
Friday- Decorated wafer cookies
Need: 2 wafer cookies per student, Nutella or jam per class, sprinkles
How to:
1. Dip an end of the wafer cookie in the Nutella or jam
2. Decorate with sprinkles
