ONe of the best thiNgs about workiNg on this series is that I've had the
privilege of meetiNg so maNy people I would Never have otherwise met.

I met people for iNterviews aNd various projects. I met people for the live-
actioN movie aNd aNime.

Some my age aNd some eveN youNger were the leadiNg experts iN their
professioN. ANd they all had such super-humaN taleNt aNd ideas.

EveN though I'm pretty laid-back, talkiNg with them made me thiNk, "I still
have a loNg way to go" aNd woNder, "Is there somethiNg I caN steal from
them?" It made me feel youNg agaiN.

I thiNk it's eNcouNters like this with creative people that help proloNg my life
as a maNga artist.

Yusei Matsui was bom on the last day of JaNuary iN Saitama

Prefecture, JapaN. He has beeN drawiNg maNga siNce elemeNtary
school. Some of his favorite maNga series are Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo,
JoJo's Bizarre AdveNture aNd Ultimate Muscle. Matsui learned his
trade workiNg as aN assistaNt to maNga artist Yoshio Sawai, creator
of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. In 2005, Matsui debuted his origiNal maNga
Neuro: Supernatural Detective iN Weekly ShoNeN Jump. In 2007,
Neuro was adapted iNto aN aNime. In 2012, AssassiNatioN Classroom
begaN serializatioN iN Weekly ShoNeN Jump.
 Pitch-black is Koro SeNsei's color wheN he is eNraged. But this "Koro
guNme+al" iN gray color is mixed iNto it. so he isN’t totally beside himself
with aNger here. He appears furious purely for educatioNal purposes.
