Week 2 Intervention Plan
Lesson one LO: Telling Time (Hours)
Materials needed:
- Big clock
- Individual clocks for learners
Hands on activity
Show learners the clock with the time – Have them show you the analog
time on the clock
- If students are able to the analog time introduce them to digital time
by showing them the analog time and then write the digital time.
First focus on 12 hour clock for example:
- 01:00
- 02:00
- 03:00
- 04:00
Activity:
Students are to show the analog time on their clock and write the digital
time on their white board
If students are able to complete the bronze task, they should.
Otherwise, complete the hands on activity using whit boards until students
have a good understanding of this.

Lesson Two LO: Telling Time (Half hours)
Materials needed:
- Big clock
- Individual clocks for learners
Hands on activity
Use the big clock and students are to use small clocks for hands on
activity – they will show you the time on the cock and write the digital
time below.
First, recap hour hand and check if students understand before moving
onto half hours.
Introduce half hours showing students that the 6 on the clock represents
half hours.
Activity:
Students are to show the analog time on their clock and write the digital
time on their white board
If students are able to complete the bronze task, they should.
Otherwise, complete the hands on activity using white boards until
students have a good understanding of this.

Lesson LO: Telling Time (Quarter hours)
Three
Materials needed:
- Big clock
- Individual clocks for learners
Hands on activity
Use the big clock and students are to use small clocks for hands on
activity – they will show you the time on the cock and write the digital
time below.
First, recap hour and half hour hand and check if students understand
before moving onto quarter hours.
Introduce half hours showing students that the 3 and 9 on the clock
represents quarters hours.
Activity:
Students are to show the analog time on their clock and write the digital
time on their white board
If students are able to complete the bronze task, they should.
Otherwise, complete the hands on activity using white boards until
students have a good understanding of this.
