 About the Sampler CD
Well I know that is common to release a sampler cd on today’s zines, but my idea was
already many years ago, almost in the late 90 s and was planned as a tape sampler then.
But it was never released; bands that send his promo stuff in these days were asked and
some other not but my idea was to promote all bands of the first issues (2nd & 3rd) to
give the people here the opportunity to know some other kind of music and not just the
boring and closed mind heavy metal shit of this country (argentine-ed) bands into death-
doom-black music that always was seen like a pariah (so I was like a “person”
considered too) here in these days the bands that I like to include where:
Panikos(black),Baxaxa(black/thrash),1917/Seol(death/black),Sadden(doom) all from
argentine; Noctis Invocat(black/doom from Guatemala) but the lack of money(always the
fucking main reason to do things in this fucking society) so now almost twenty years later
I can do this utopia reality to my own satisfaction and like a praise to all these bands that
deserve my respect and support then.
Also some other bands from this new issue were featured and is good to had more bands
to spread out, now here things are changing about musical tastes among people (but
always the closed christian’s mind are still present but FUCK OFF anyway!!) this is

bandcamp pages (something that in the 90s was the tape trades to get new music and
snail mail to contact bands or via e-mail as a fast opportunity to get an interview) I

 Phlebotomized is among the oldest death metal bands from Holland and one of the first to use
violin and synthesizer in extreme metal. Phlebotomized is deemed seminal, forging
atmosphere and grind outbursts in unconventional song structures. During their heydays the
band gained a cult status in the underground scene.
Formed in March 1989(as a trio-ed), Phlebotomized started as a grindcore outfit, heavily
inspired by grind, death- and doom metal. At the end of 1990 the band began to use keyboard
and violin arrangements, resulting in their unique sound. Their first releases caused a shock in
the scene and the revelation of ‘Immense Intense Suspense’ in 1994 gained them worldwide
esteem. The band played numerous shows but disbanded shortly after the release of their
second full-length album ‘Skycontact’ in 1997.
In 2013 the band regrouped after the re-release of their classic albums and started playing
(international) shows. New songs were written and after some changes in line-up
Phlebotomized is now ready to unleash their reincarnated avant-garde death metal.
Wayward and exploring beyond the scopes of conventional paths in death metal,
Phlebotomized is determined to enlarge their worldwide following.

Ok this isn´t something original… I know, but I will include this section anyway, just to write
some more no sense words ha ha!
It was 90s and many bands were forging his path among the saturated and growing scene of
that early days….one of them was an ambitious name Rotting Christ, hailing from Greece with
some of most brutal beginnings’ with “Sathanas Tedeum” demo and then an evolution into
something more melodic but yet brutal “Passage to Arturo” “Non Seviam” ”Thy Mighty
Contract” and so on. They release the most mystic and enigmatic work to date “Triachy of the
Lost Lovers” 96.
Full of mid-tempo guitar riffs and some keyboards parts in the right place(don´t taken a main
presence-ed) that were able to set many images and feelings in our minds & hearts, I still
remember how I was mesmerized with this album…..in my nights, the moon and stars were
glitter and filled up my old young soul with these feelings that make my imagination fly
away (without any kind of shitty drugs stuff-ed) the lyrics also help to this….songs like king
of a stellar war, a dynasty from the ice, archon, snowing still, shadows follow, one with the
forest ….just the whole album so, from the beginning ´til the end the piece of gold among the
shit .
Now twenty two years later it feel fresh todays and the band is still releasing more high
quality music and mature stuff , but for sure “Triarchy of the Lost Lovers” is the “Classic”
and most memorable work of the band, the future belongs to them when it comes…from the
dark past…..
A band that I was able to listen thanks to my friend MARCO, they come from Chile and perform a
very technical and blasphemous DEATH METAL as only Chilean bands can do. Luckily I listen them

Krater is a black metal band based in south and East Germany. It was originally founded in 2004 as
a two piece band by singer and bass player Abortio and formal guitarist Absum.

In 2004 Shardik joined the horde as drummer and stayed since then.

Over the last 15 years the position of the guitarist changed several times.
The formation is now including:

Abortio - bass/Vocals since 2004

Shardik - drums since 2004

Ibbur - guitarist since 2007

3E.3 - guitarist since 2015

Z.K - live and studio guitarist since 2017

In those 15 years of creating the music has changed from harsh old school black metal to a mix of aggressive,
fast and passionated Black and Death Metal. We call it Furios Black Metal.

If well you´re a band with a trajectory many people from argentine don´t have a clue of your
releases, please speak us about all your edited music.

2003 the first demo was recorded called "Stolz schürt unsere Kraft". It means something like "proud stokes
our power". It was recorded as two piece band by Abortio and Absum with a simple Drum computer and self-
released on CD.

After Shardik joined on drums in 2004 we released our second demo "Weiße Reinheit" what could be roughly
translated in to "White Pureness" which refers to the title track "Des Winters Weiße Reinheit" (winters white
Pureness) and speaks about nature takes back what humanity took and destroys them in frost and ice.

This release was self-recorded as three peace band in our rehearsal room and self-released on cassette.

In the same year we recorded a 7" split LP with the

German black metal band Silberbach.

In 2006 we released our first full length album

"Das Relikt des Triumphes" (the relic of triumph).

We recorded this one as 4 peace band, first time in

studio and released it in 2006 on CD.
Also there was released a vinyl version in 2010.

After that record the guitarist left the band and

Abortio and Shardik had to found new members.

One of them was Shardiks real life brother Ibbur

who joined in 2007.

Longtime friend Lupus also joined in 2007 on lead

guitar.

With that change in the Line-Up the music changed to a faster and harder kind of Death and Black Metal.

Also Abortio started to use English lyrics along with German while until that time all lyrics were written in
German.

Now is time to talk of your last release to date “URERE”, to me is a very good album, tell me
about the process of composition and recording of this one.

The main riffs were written by our former guitarist Lupus. I think the first notes were already written in 2011.
So it took us some time. At the end of 2012 the drums were recorded and so on. It took us another 2 years to
complete the guitar- and bass tracks and at least the vocals. We recorded everything on our own in our
rehearsal room.

After that we worked with a small studio for mixing and mastering. It took us about one year and the record
was quite done when there came some bigger disputes with the studio. The situation escalated and we were
forced to change the studio and do the mixing and mastering right from the beginning.

We decided to hire Patrick W. Engel to finish the record at his Temple of Disharmony Studio.

We are very proud of the result but it was a long and hard road.

The presentation of LP is very enjoyable to our eyes; it’s still available for sale and why you
decide edits it on vinyl? ......you´re a vinyl freak your most valued vinyl?

Vinyl is a kind of prestige thing in the black metal underground scene or the metal scene in general. Some of
us are big vinyl and tape freaks, some not. But to release your Album on vinyl or cassette breathes this kind of
nostalgic underground feeling. Also the artwork looks so much better at this size.

We try to release our entire albums on vinyl and we will continue with that as long it is affordable.

The most valued vinyl I got in my private collection? That’s a hard question! Maybe the first editions of
Darkthrone – Soulside Journey and Gorefest – False. Those albums were also the first among others that
dragged me into extreme Metal. And when I got them on vinyl too after years was a special feeling.

Many bands are editing DVD´s; have plans to filming some DVD in the future?

There are no plans made yet. We got some live shootings that we will upload on youtube but there are no
plans for semi-professional live shootings or something like that.
