Pollution is the introduction of harmful substances or products into the environment, causing adverse effects on
living organisms and the ecosystem.It can take various forms, such as air pollution, water pollution, land
pollution, and noise pollution.
Air pollution is caused by the release of harmful gases and particles into the atmosphere.Major sources of air
pollution include vehicular emissions, industrial activities, and power plants. Air pollution can cause respiratory
problems, heart disease, and cancer.
Water pollution is caused by the discharge of untreated sewage, industrial effluents, and agricultural chemicals
into water bodies. Water pollution can contaminate drinking water, harm aquatic life , and disrupt ecosystems.
Land pollution is caused by the improper disposal of solid waste, such as plastics, chemicals and hazardous
materials.Land pollution can contaminate soil and groundwater, harm wildlife, and reduce the fertility of land.
Noise pollution is caused by excessive levels of unwanted sound. Major sources of noise pollution include
traffic, construction activities, and industrial machinery.Noise pollution can cause hearing loss, sleep
disturbance, and stress.
Pollution has a significant impact on human health and the environment.it is a major contributor to climate
change, global warming, and the depletion of natural resources. Pollution also poses a serious threat to
biodiversity.
