1. Dispensing System

1.1. Pipe joint confirmation


1.1.1. Check the 4 pipe joints marked in red circle in the figure to see whether
there is crystal; If there is crystal, clean it with a clean cotton swab;
1.1.2. If there is no crystal, manually tighten the thread joint clockwise until the
thread is not loose.

1.2. Liquid level detection function confirmation
1.2.1. Use the software debugging function to check whether the sample probe
can detect the liquid properly; the D8 indicator will not light up when the
liquid is not detected, and the indicator D8 will flash when the liquid is
detected;

1.2.2. If the liquid detection board does not work as 1.2.1 described, the liquid
detection board or liquid detection cable needs to be changed.
1.3. Clot detection function confirmation
1.3.1. When the instrument is in power-on status, use the multimeter to measure
the DC voltage at pins 1 and 3 of the clot detection board; The normal
voltage of clot detection is 1.61V ± 0.1V;

1.3.2. If the voltage range does not meet the requirement, please change the
liquid and clot detection board;
1.4. Probe washing status confirmation
1.4.1. Execute the dispensing system reset command through the software's
debugging function, observe whether there is liquid splashing in probe
washing process;
1.4.2. If there is liquid splashing, adjust the horizontal and vertical washing
position of reagent probe;
1.5. Motor and cable connection terminal confirmation
1.5.1. Confirm whether there is water stain on the surface of dispensing system
connection terminal. If there is water stain, check the source of water stains
on the surface of the connection terminals and tighten or seal the
connection parts.

1.5.2. Another situation is that we need to check whether the joint pin is
corroded or rusted. If the joint pin is corroded or rusted, we need to clean
the joint pin with anhydrous ethanol until the pin is shiny and clean.
1.6. Rinsing bath cleaning
1.6.1. Remove the rinsing bath and clean it with a cotton swab dampened with
pure water until there is no dirt;

1.6.2. If pure water can not clean the dirt, we could use 75% alcohol instead
2. Cuvette Transfer System
2.1. Linear guide rail and guide shaft cleaning and lubrication (as needed)
2.1.1. Before maintenance, confirm that instrument user software has logged out
and the main status display light is off
2.1.2. Pull the cuvette transfer system up and down by hand, and move it in X, Y,
and Z directions respectively. In case of jamming, clean the linear guide rail
and guide shaft with dust-free cloth, and then apply the SKF LGHP2 solid
grease for lubrication.

3. Detection System

3.1. Substrate nozzle A and B crystal cleaning


3.1.1. Remove the substrate nozzles A and B, and check whether there is crystal
or magnetic bead in the nozzles; If there is dirt, wipe it with a dry cotton
swab until it is clean

3.2. Photon counting board cleaning


3.2.1. Before maintenance, confirm that instrument user software has logged
out and the main status display light is off;
3.2.2. Use a brush to clean the photon counting board (at the red mark) when
the instrument is powered off and clean it until the circuit board is free of
dust;

3.3. Waste liquid probe cleaning


3.3.1. Unplug the waste liquid tube on the waste liquid probe, and use a
screwdriver to remove the waste liquid probe from the detection bin;
3.3.2. Soak the waste liquid probe in alcohol for ten minutes;
3.3.3. After soaking, clean the waste liquid probe with pure water to clean the
dirt;
3.3.4. After cleaning, install the waste liquid probe back into the detection bin
and connect the waste liquid tube

3.4. Rotary disk cleaning


3.4.1. Remove the top cover of the detection bin, and check whether there is dirt
on the rotary disk. If there is dirt, clean it with a dry cotton swab until there
is no dirt. Install the top cover of the detection bin.

3.5. Pipe confirmation


3.5.1. Check whether the waste pipe marked in red circle is dirty; if there is
obvious residual yellow dirt, we need to clean it.

4. Cuvette Pallet Component

4.1. Pallet placement seat cleaning (as needed)


4.1.1. Before maintenance, confirm that instrument user software has logged out
and the main status display light is off;
4.1.2. Pull out the 2 pallet placement seats by hand, if there is any jam, you need
to clean the linear guide and guide shaft with a dust-free cloth, after cleaning,
apply SKF LGHP2 solid grease for lubrication; check if there is any stain inside
the pallet placement; if there is, clean it with a wetted cotton swab, then push
the pallet placement back to its original position.

5. Reagent Storage System

5.1. Reagent storage system temperature confirmation


5.1.1. Clean the dustproof net which is at the bottom of the reagent storage
system

5.1.2. Check whether the temperature of reagent storage system is within range
of 2°C - 8°C in the user software system – maintenance.
5.1.3. If it is not within this range, we need to monitor the temperature of reagent
storage system cooling component with the debugging function of the
instrument and replace the cooling component whose temperature exceeds
5°C.
5.1.4. Power on the instrument for 30 minutes after replacing the cooling
component, and check the cooling temperature of instrument again until the
temperature is within 2°C - 8°C.
5.2. Reagent bin cover and reagent taking hole cleaning
5.2.1. Clean dirt from the three reagent taking holes on the reagent cover of the
reagent bin

5.3. Reagent disk cleaning


5.3.1. Power off the instrument, and take out all the reagent bottles in the
reagent bin;
5.3.2. Manually rotate the reagent bin body to check whether it has abnormal
noise and runs slowly;
5.3.3. If there is abnormal noise and runs slowly, check the integrity of the gears
on the deep groove ball shaft or replace the deep groove ball shaft;

5.4. Reagent bin condensate water check


5.4.1. Check whether there is an increase of condensate water inside the reagent
bin, if there is, check whether the reagent bin drainage port pipeline is
blocked, if blocked, clean the pipeline

5.4.2. If there is no blockage, use the instrument's own debugging function to
check whether the reagent storage diaphragm pump is working properly
5.4.3. If it is not working properly, we need to check whether the diaphragm
pump line is abnormal, whether the diaphragm pump is damaged, replace
the corresponding parts
6. Transfer System

6.1. Reagent dispensing hole and transfer system rotary disk cleaning
6.1.1. Before maintenance, confirm that instrument user software has logged out
and the main status display light is off;
6.1.2. Use a cotton swab dipped in 75% alcohol to clean the reagent dispensing
hole on the transfer system cover and the stains on the transfer system;
Note: If there is a large amount of crystal on the rotary disk of the transfer
system, check the mixing component for the mixing state.

7. Magnetic Separation System

7.1. Waste liquid aspirating probe cleaning


7.1.1. Before maintenance, confirm that instrument user software has logged out
and the main status display light is off;
7.1.2. Press the two waste liquid aspirating probe racks of the magnetic
separation system down to half the stroke, lift the waste liquid aspirating
probes by hand and release them to test the rebound of the waste liquid
aspirating probes. Pull out the waste liquid aspirating tube of the waste
liquid aspirating probe with poor rebound, and clean the waste liquid
aspirating probe sleeve and the waste liquid aspirating probe rack with a
cotton swab dipped in 75% alcohol;

7.1.3. If the waste liquid aspirating probe is still poor in rebound after cleaning,
replace it.
7.2. Liquid injection probe cleaning
7.2.1. Remove the liquid injection probe rack, and clean the four liquid injection
probes with the cotton swab dipped in 75% alcohol;
Note: After cleaning, make sure that there is no cotton residue on the tip of
the liquid injection probe. If there is a large amount of crystal on the liquid
injection probe before cleaning, please check whether the angle of the liquid
injection probe is abnormal.

7.3. Rotary disk, top cover and sensor cleaning


7.3.1. Remove the top cover of magnetic separation system, and clean it with
cotton swab dipped in 75% alcohol;
Note: If there is a large amount of crystal on the magnetic separation system
top cover, check the mixing component for the mixing state.

7.3.2. Remove the rotary disk photoelectric switch of magnetic separation


system and rotary disk, and clean them with cotton swab dipped in 75%
alcohol;
Note: After cleaning, confirm that there is no foreign matter in the notch of
the outer circle of the rotary disk.

7.3.3. Clean the reset photoelectric switch of the rotary disk, the reset
photoelectric switch of liquid injection probe and the reset photoelectric
switch of waste liquid aspirating probe with the cotton swab;

7.3.4. Clean the incubation groove of magnetic separation system heating ring
component, and assemble the magnetic separation system in reverse order
after cleaning.

7.4. Waste liquid pipe and liquid injection pipe confirmation
7.4.1. Check whether the waste liquid aspirating pipe marked at the red circle in
the figure is damaged, and replace it if damaged

7.4.2. Check whether there are air bubbles in the liquid injection pipe marked at
the blue circle in the figure. If there are a large number of air bubbles, check
the pipe for the air leakage point;

7.4.3. Check whether the waste suction pipe at the red circle in the figure is dirty.
Rub the liquid injection hose marked at the blue circle in the figure by hand
to see if there are flocs. If there is any dirt, clean the pipe.
7.5. Motor and line connection terminal confirmation
7.5.1. Remove the connection terminal marked at the red circle in the figure and
check whether each pin in the connection terminal is bright and clean;
7.5.2. If there is copper rust, clean the pins with absolute ethyl alcohol until they
are clean and bright with no residual copper rust;

7.6. Linear guide rail and lead screw motor cleaning (as needed)
7.6.1. Pull two probe racks of magnetic separation system up and down by hand.
In case of jamming, clean the linear guide rail and lead screw motor with a
dust-free cloth, and then apply SKF LGHP2 solid grease for lubrication.

7.7. Liquid injection and waste liquid aspiration status confirmation


7.7.1. Enter the user software debugging interface
7.7.2. Place the cuvette filled with 400ul liquid under the four waste liquid
aspirating probes respectively;
7.7.3. Execute the instruction of magnetic separation and waste liquid aspiration.
After the waste liquid aspiration is completed, check whether there is
residual liquid in the cuvette put into the magnetic separation equipment;
7.7.4. If there is, check whether the peristaltic pump pipe of the instrument has
been deformed or whether the peristaltic pump can work normally;

7.7.5. The pump pipe needs to be replaced in advance if it is deformed until there
is no obvious liquid residue in the cuvette.
8. Substrate Pump and Two-way Valve Component

8.1. Substrate pallet cleaning


8.1.1. Take out the substrate bottles A and B, and clean the substrate pallet with
a wet rag.

8.2. Pipe joint air-tightness confirmation
8.2.1. Before confirmation, check whether there is crystal at the pipe joints. If
there is, clean it;

8.2.2. Fill in the substrate and let it stand for 10 minutes after filling;
8.2.3. After 10 minutes, observe whether there are bubbles in the substrate A, B
pumps and their surrounding pipes;
8.2.4. If there are a lot of bubbles, it is necessary to clean the crystal and then re-
tighten the joint;
8.3. Line connection terminal confirmation
8.3.1. First, check the appearance to see if there is crystal or dirt near the terminal;
8.3.2. If there is, remove the connection terminal marked at the red circle in the
figure below and check whether each pin in the connection terminal is bright
and clean;
8.3.3. If there is copper rust, clean the pins with absolute ethyl alcohol until they
are clean and bright with no residual copper rust;

9.1. Pipe confirmation

9.1.1. During maintenance, check whether there is leakage at the pipe joints of
gear pump, plunger integrated pump, quadruple injection pump and
solenoid valve;
9.1.2. In case of leakage on the pump body, it is necessary to prevent in advance
and replace the pump with leakage, and in the meantime, the pipelines with
leakage shall be subject to the airtightness treatment at the pipe joints;
9.1.3. Check the connection plug for corrosion; If there is corrosion, clean the
plug terminals with absolute ethyl alcohol and confirm that the pins are clean
and bright;
10. Peristaltic Pump Component

10.1. Pipe confirmation

10.1.1. Press the snap button of the peristaltic pump pipe, take it out and check
whether the pump pipe is seriously worn. If it is, use another section of the
pump pipe interchangeably. If both ends are worn, it needs to be replaced.
11. Sample Loading System

11.1. Sample loading channel and recovery channel cleaning

11.1.1. Use cotton swabs to clean the sample loading pallet, recovery pallet and STAT
position;
11.2. Linear guide rail lubrication, barcode reader and sensor cleaning (as
needed)

11.2.1. Before maintenance, confirm that instrument user software has logged
out and the main status display light is off;
11.2.2. Pull each component up and down by hand. In case of jamming, clean
the linear guide rail and guide shaft with a dust-free cloth, and then apply
SKF LGHP2 solid grease for lubrication;

11.2.3. Clean the fixed barcode reader with cotton swabs;


12. Whole Instrument

12.1. Cleaning of cooling fan guard of the whole instrument (as needed)

12.1.1. Remove the cooling fan guard of the whole machine at the back of the
instrument, clean the fan guard with pure water, dry it and then assemble it
back on the instrument.

12.2. Cleaning of waste liquid container, purified water container and liquid
container
12.2.1. Clean the waste liquid container, purified water container and liquid
container with pure water. If they are too dirty, clean them with alcohol. After
cleaning, prepare the solution again and fill the pipe once;

12.2.2. The online filter of pipes for the waste liquid container and the purified
water container shall be replaced based on the actual situation.
