Intro :

Good morning everyone,

I am excited to be here today to have presentation about how mobile phones can actually be useful for
students’ learning at school. in my presentation there are only three main points and it will take about
five minutes, so If you have any questions, pls feel free to ask me at the end of our presentation.

I would like to begin with first advantage, mobile phones is an effective assistance tool for student’s
learning at school

With function of Internet access, students can use mobile phone to look up information instantly. Just a
few tap with key word, a lot of information about related topics is available. This really helps students
widen more knowledge easily besides using textbooks only and also help improve information
searching skill that is really essential today’s digital world.

Not only use for looking up information, a mobile phone can provide a variety of educational
applications that support students learning. There are common apps such as Memrise, Anki or Quizlet to
create flashcard to remember knowledge smartly and also self practice logically. And, it is useful
especially for learning foreign language, a mobile phone now can be used as a dictionary and translation
tool. It is much more flexible than a pocket dictionary. It take only maybe one or two seconds to get all
one word data . To compare, mobile phone is actually more functional.

Let’s continue with second benefit of allowing students use mobile phone at school, students can better
in note taking and time management skill then it will improve students’ performance at school.

If in traditional way, students only write down knowledge in notebook, to be honest it is time consuming
and not really effective. But with only a mobile phone, it is more convenient due to features on
Evernote, Notion hay OneNote –help to note and record lessons easily. In case, students can’t catch up
with teachers’ progress at class, they can record, take photos and recheck at home.

Additionally, mobile phone is available of planning tools that help students in balance between studying
and other activities at school. Phones provide many tools to help students manage their study time
scientifically: Study planning: Applications such as Google Calendar, To do list help students schedule
their study time by day, by week. Set reminders: Students can set alarms or notifications on their phones
to remind them of homework and exam preparation time.

Last but not least, a mobile phone play important role in staying connected between students and their
parents, teachers and friends also in any urgent situation.

During school, there are many unexpected situations that require students to contact their families
immediately. If students feel unwell or have a minor accident at school, they can call their parents
immediately for help. Or in some dangerous situations such school violence or strangers appearing in
school, the phone can be a tool to help students protect themselves. If school violence or threatening
behavior occurs, students can use the phone to record audio or video as evidence to report to the
school. Some phones have the feature of sending SOS messages to relatives' phone numbers in case of
danger => Helps students protect themselves and sound the alarm in time in dangerous situations.
This also bring me to the end of my presentation , I would like to sum up three advantages of using
mobile phone among students at school. Mobile phones are a useful tool for students to study, compose
and manage their time effectively, and support maintaining communication on important issues.
However, students need to use their phones properly, avoiding using them for solving problems or
causing distraction in class. When managed properly, phones can become a powerful support tool to
help students achieve better learning results.
