NON-COMPETITION ACTIVITIES

Opening Ceremony (OC)

The opening of the 10th SDGICF 2025 will be opened by an authorized official
(Diponegoro University Faculty of Law) and attended by an artistic team, judges,
choir experts, and contestants. This moment offers participants the opportunity to
get to know each other better, strengthen bonds, and build chemistry within the
choral community. The event will then continue with various performances, including
the Friendship Concert from registered participants, solo vocal performances, and
other performances.
Friendship Concert (FC)
The Friendship Concert is part of the Opening Ceremony and is open to both SDGICF
participants and non-participants. This activity welcomes choirs that register
specifically for the concert, as well as those already participating in other SDGICF
activities, if space is available. Non-choir participants may also take part, with all
performers selected based on prior approval from the artistic panel of the 10th
SDGICF 2025. Those participating will receive a participation certificate.

Choir Atelier (CA)

The term "atelier" refers to a rehearsal session organized by the committee. This
activity is open to members of the hoir competition participants or non-participants
(with a minimum age of 16 years, and composition: S – A/MS – T – B/Bar). The
committee will invite choir practitioners (one of the jurors from the 10th SDGCF 2025)
to act as the conductor for the choir atelier. Participants of the choir atelier are
required to perform at the awards ceremony and closing event.

Choir Exchange (CE)

This is an exchange activity involving interaction between two or more choirs
participating in the 10th SDGICF 2025 from different locations, cultures, or
backgrounds. The purpose of this activity is to expand musical horizons, build inter-
community relationships, and promote cultural diversity through music by sharing
experiences and creating lasting memories for one another.

Choir Studio (CS)

The Choir Studio (choir clinic) is an activity organized by the committee for choirs
(each choir consists of a maximum of 40 members, including the conductor and
musicians) interested in receiving more intensive training in music, guided directly by
one of the jurors of the 10th SDGICF 2025. The activity will last for two hours. This
activity will begin with a performance by the choir (up to two songs), which will then
be critiqued and evaluated by one of the jurors (choir clinician), with the aim of
improving the performance. To get the best results, participants in the choir studio
must submit the scores to the committee no later than 2 weeks before the event.
Choir Studio is open to both competition participants and non-participants.
NON-COMPETITION ACTIVITIES

Focus Group Discussion (FGD)

This session is designed for individual participants, choir members, and conductors
to enhance their knowledge of choral music. The Focus Group Discussion (FGD) will be
conducted in a hybrid format, allowing for greater flexibility. Participation is limited
to a maximum of 100 people, and both choir competition participants and non-
competition attendees are welcome. The committee will announce the theme and
speaker at a later date.
Verbal Jury (VJ)
The Verbal Jury, or meeting with the jury, is a forum provided by the committee for
participants of the Choir Competition, Solo Vocal Competition, Choral Arrangement
and Composition Competition to engage with jury members and discuss their
performances without addressing the competition results. Each choir can send a
maximum of three representatives to participate in this activity.
Vocal & Conducting Class (VCC)
This is an in-person vocal and conducting class organized by the committee,
featuring one of the competition judges who has an outstanding reputation in the
field.
Special Concert (SC)
A special concert event is among the activities planned by the organizing committee
of the 10th SDGCF 2025. This event will feature either a performance by a well-
regarded choir or a vocal recital concert.
Awarding & Closing Ceremony (ACC)
This is the highly anticipated highlight of the event. Attended by participants, jurors,
and invited guests, everyone will come together to witness the announcement of the
winners, filled with moments of appreciation and recognition for the dedication of all
participants who have given their best.
