Fairy Lights Afghan

Materials:
Yarn – Any yarn will work – I used Medium/DK weight for my example square/blanket
Caron One Pound Yarn in Peach & White
Crochet hook – Any hook will work – I used a I hook for my example square/blanket – 5.5 MM
Scissors
Stitch Markers

Notes:
I Fasten Off each row to change colors:

Crochet Stitches Needed:


Chain – CH
Stitch – ST
Skip – SK

Pattern:

Pick your favorite way to start a circle/square, playlist above!

Row 1: Make circle, CH 3, 2 DC into center of circle, CH 2, *3 DC into circle, CH 2, Repeat


from * 2 more times, SL ST into first DC stitch made in this row

Row 2: Start at a corner space: CH 4, 1 SC into corner space, *CH 3, skip to next corner
space, 1 SC into corner space, CH 3, 1 SC into same corner space, repeat from * around until
you reach the 1st CHs you made in this row, SL ST into 1st CHs made in this row

Row 3: Start at a corner space: CH 3, 2 DC into corner space, CH 2, *3 DC into same corner
space, 3 DC into next previous CH open space on the side of SQ, repeat until you reach next
corner space, 3 DC into next corner space, CH 2, *3 DC into same corner space, repeat from
* around until you reach the 1st CHs you made in this row, SL ST into 1st CHs made in this row

Row 4: Start at a corner space: CH 4, 1 SC into corner space, CH 3, *skip 3 previous DC, 1
SC between previous sets of 3 DC, repeat from * until you reach next corner space, SC into
corner space, CH 3, 1 SC into same corner space, repeat from * around until you reach the 1 st
CHs you made in this row, SL ST into 1st CHs made in this row

Alternate between rows 3 & 4 until you reach the desired size of your squares

 I made 6 rows for each square


 I joined my squares using the Mesh Stitch Join As You Go Method:

For the JAYG method:

I made my 1st SQ with 6 rows total, then used the JAYG method to join the rest together

 I made a total of 72 squares (8X9)
