The summer vacation, this time would be ice creams, candies and cool pool, but time can be uti
in honing skills and interests. It is better to bloom, than to be a bud, and you are
responsible young members of the nation and it’s your duty to follow rules. Here are
some holiday activities designed for creative utilization of time. Give flight to your
imagination and spend time with a purpose. This summer vacation, the holiday
homework is designed by the mentors of the school as a medium for you all to achieve
the motto of ‘Fun and Learn’

1. You recently visited the beautiful state of Sikkim and were
fascinated by its culture, natural beauty, and unique traditions. Write a
diary entry describing your experience, the places you visited, and
what you learned about Sikkim's history and people.
2. Read a story of your choice from Raintree Coursebook and write a
review including: 1. Title 2. Main characters 3. Plot 4. Theme on an A4
Size sheet.

SUBJECT:MATHS
Q1. Sikkim is a state in North Eastern India. It borders China in the north
and northeast,Bhutan in the east, Nepal in the west and West Bengal in
the south. Sikkim is the least populous and second smallest among the
Indian states. Nestling in the Himalayan mountains, the state of Sikkim is
characterized by mountainous terrain. Almost the entire state is hilly with
an elevation ranging from 280 metres in the south at the border with west
Bengal to 8586 metres in northern peaks near Nepal and Tibet. The state
has 28 mountain peaks, more than 80 glaciers, 227 high altitude lakes(

including the Tsongm,Gurudongmar and Khecheopalri lakes) Eight
mountain passes connect the state to Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan.
Dear Students surf the net and find the height of seven different mountain
peaks of Himalayas in Sikkim state in metres. Now by making a table
convert height into kilometres and centimetres . Draw a colorful bar graph
representing the height of different peaks in metre on the y-axis
2. Prepare a chart (Art Integrated) on quadrilaterals i.e. Parallelogram,
Rhombus ,Rectangle, Square and Kite .
It should include introduction , definition and properties of the said
quadrilaterals..
Use A4 size sheets for both the projects

Prepare a collage/model on the topic MICROORGANISMS: FRIEND
OR FOE.
(i)Collage should be on A3 size sheet.
(ii)Use your creativity to give it different shape and use different
materials for it.
(iii)Model can be made of clay, used cardboard or any other
biodegradable material. Avoid using thermocole.
ART INTEGRATED PROJECT
The “Sikkim Organic Mission” is a key initiative promoting sustainable
and organic farming practices. Prepare a comparative study of both
Agriculture in Sikkim and Delhi.
The key points of the project should focus on
Types of crops grown
Methods of Irrigation
Manures and fertilisers used
Prepare a beautiful hand made folder to keep your project.
Project report should be of 3-4 A4 size sheets with lot of illustrations

sightseeing attraction or tour activity each of Delhi and Sikkim.

Key points to remember for the proper execution of the tasks:-
a) Task 1 to be done in a scrap book.
b) Task 2 to be done on an A3 size sheet.
TASK 1: Make a scrap book of conjugations of ER/IR/RE regular (2 each) and all
irregular verbs taught till now.
TASK 2: Make a creative collage on the map of France showing famous cities,
rivers, mountains, museums, monuments, places, cheese, wine, perfumes,
designers, ports, airports, cars etc.
