My clinical experience in the delivery room provided me with a

comprehensive understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a nurse in this specialized
field. As a student nurse, I was able to observe and participate in various aspects of labor
and delivery care, under the guidance of experienced professionals. Assisting in tasks such
as administering oxytocin, cutting the baby's umbilical cord, and delivering the placenta
allowed me to develop technical skills that are essential for providing safe and effective care
to both mother and child. Additionally, catching the baby during birth and performing
essential intrapartum newborn care enabled me to gain experience in critical situations,
further preparing me for my future role as a registered nurse. Overall, this clinical
experience has reinforced my commitment to women's healthcare and empowered me with
the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in this field.
