Be a role Model for your child.
Speak small English words/sentences with family members and with your child.
Have a well-balanced, nutritious and appropriate diet as per your child’s need.
Mandatory to have one meal together with whole family members.(No phone policy on Dining table)
Restrict and monitor the programs being watched by you and your child on T.V. or Mobile Phone.
Reading and learning are good habits, encourage them to read picture story books to enhance their
curiosity, also make it a habit to read any book of your choice at-least for 15 min a day.
Give them small responsibilities in household chores which will aid them to be independent.
Keeping in view the prevailing situation & high temperature plan some indoor games for them.
Describe all the task given to your child , allow them to complete homework on their own under
your guidance
Being Good& Being Fit
Teaching manners helps for the kindness and a sense of community. Let’s share some points to make
these holidays a fruitful and a happy period for them.
Help your child inculcate good habits like doing “Surya Pranam” & encourage him/her to greet all
elders in the morning.
Chant OM (5 times) /some prayer/ Gayatri mantra or anything to inculcate the spiritual skills.
Do some Yoga, Aerobics, warm- up exercise to make them fit.
Go for walk with your parents or grandparents in morning or evening time.
Keep a bowl of water in your balcony /terrace to quench the thirst of birds.
To inculcate the love toward nature, water the plants daily.
Fed the street animals and gently care for animals and birds.
Sow 5-6 seeds of Rajma / coriander / gram in one pot and water regularly. Observe the changes
while it grows, and tell the child what all needed to grow a plant, how do we get food from the
plants.
Life Skills
Life Skills are abilities for adaptive and positive behavior. It enables children to cope up with the
challenges of life. The best way to make them Self-dependence and Self-discipline nurture this
habit among the kids, a few life- skill based activities have been framed for the kids.

Kindly note: Make a short video of your child (at least 30-40 seconds) while doing any two Life Skills
and Motor Skills activities of your choice. Also click the photographs of all the activities that your
child has performed and prepare a photo album or scrap book of at least 10-12 pages , beautify a
cover page naming “My Summer Learning”.by doing some vegetable impressions on it.

Material Needed-
Print out of the house(please see the next page)
Glue

One family photo (optional)
Markers or crayons (optional)
Procedure- Take the Print out and cut out the paper house template, color the house.Fold
the house as shown in the picture and glue the roof to the house. Use the template to glue
a family picture inside of the card. You can also draw a family picture inside of the card,
draw different rooms inside the left & right fold of the card name them.
Now describe about your house-

Task- Father’s Day popsicle stick craft
Material Needed-
1. Colored popsicle sticks
2. Glue / fevicol
3. Jute twine or satin ribbon
4. Scissors
5. Marker or colour pen
Procedure-
Activty has to be done under the guidence of Mother.
Choose 10 to 12 popsicle sticks of your favourite colors.
Now, get the jute twine or satin ribbon and apply glue on two sides of it, to stick the
popsicle sticks.
Stick the popsicle sticks one by one on the twine or satin ribbon by using glue.
Once all the popsicle sticks are glued on to the twine/ribbon , cut any extra lengths of
twine left at the ends.
Now, it is time for the to write their thoughts for daddy!
Now on Fathers day give this to your Father.

Cucumber Boats
Ingredients
Cucumbers
Potato
Tomato
Onion
Grated carrot
Boiled Chickpeas
Roasted Peanuts
Sev
Lemon juice
Green mint chutney
Chat masala
Salt
How to Make
Take a cucumber and peel it then cut each half to make boat. scoop out the
center of each piece using a small spoon to create boat.
For the filling- Soaked chickpeas for 7 to 8 hours, boil in a pressure cooker.
Take 1 potato and boil in a pressure cooker. Cool it and cut in small pieces.
Then take a big bowl add all ingredients mentioned above.
Garnish with sev, and coriander and serve.

Healthy Sattu Boats
Ingredients
1 cup sattu powder/roasted chana powder
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons cashew nuts
2 tablespoons almonds
1/4 cup milk powder
1/4 cup desiccated coconut
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
2 tablespoons fresh malai /cream
7-8 strings saffron soaked in 2 tbsp milk
1 tablespoons pistachios chopped
How to Make
Firstly, take brown sugar, cashew, almonds and cardamom powder in grinding
Jar and grind it finely.
Now add the mixture in mixing bowl. Add milk powder and desiccated coconut
in it. Add fresh cream or malai to in it.
Now add sattu powder to in it Gently mix everything.
Now add saffron soaked milk to the mixture. Mix it properly and binding the
mixture. Grease your palm with ghee and roll the dough in square shape.
(shape as your choice).
Now cut them into square pieces and Garnish with chopped pistachios. So the
healthy sattu bite is ready instantly. You can Store it in airtight container in
refrigerator for 3-4 days.
