Chapter 1
Introduction
1.1 Overview to UX/UI
Customer experiences are referred to as UX style. The end-user interface is identified by its style
and design. The two components work in tandem. The functions themselves are typically
specific, even though they have a specialized professional relationship. In the specialized area,
the UX format is much more acceptable, the UI is more in line with graphical design and style,
and its commitments are more intricate.
Also, UI layout and design is certainly a very good profession, giving sufficient prospects and
competing for salary. There are, the reality is, a large number of good things about a task being a
UI developer. When I have an incredible eye-sight for graphics in addition to sound progressive
impulse, UI design can be an awesome method to scratch that itch.
There are so many scoops of this sector in online/remote and offline jobs. In the future, I want to
open a design and development agency.
9
1.3 Introduction to Company
Reedify System Ltd is a Bangladeshi Design Agency in Bangladesh, a full-service website
design and development company with a strong focus on creative design and web security. For
over 2 years, they have been creating a high-performance website, software, and app that gives
the latest digital experience for e-commerce service and financial services, insurance companies,
school, and college user-friendly experiences. They understand that creating user-friendly
experiences based on UX best practices, and market investigation.
The development of UX and UI over time has changed how consumers browse websites and use
the Internet. A brief overview of that evolutionary history is provided here.
Although Don Norman, a cognitive psychologist and designer, first used the phrase "user
experience" in the 1990s, UX is several decades older.
10
Chapter 2
Factors, Process, & Features of Usable Product
2.1 UX Factor
Priceless
This refers to the intangible value a product or service provides to users. A "priceless" UX
creates such a seamless, enjoyable, and meaningful experience that users feel it is invaluable.
It goes beyond monetary worth, focusing on emotional connection, satisfaction, and the
overall impact on the user's life.
Obtainable
This emphasizes the importance of making products or services accessible and easy to
acquire. A UX that is "obtainable" ensures that users can effortlessly achieve their goals,
whether it’s purchasing a product, signing up for a service, or completing a task. It removes
unnecessary barriers and simplifies processes.
Desirable
A "desirable" UX focuses on creating an experience that users find appealing and attractive.
This involves aesthetics, emotional appeal, and the ability to evoke positive feelings. A
desirable UX not only meets functional needs but also resonates with users on an emotional
level, making them want to engage with the product or service.
Reputable
This factor highlights the importance of trust and credibility in UX. A "reputable" UX
ensures that users feel confident in the product or service, knowing it is reliable, secure, and
backed by positive reviews or endorsements. Building a strong reputation through consistent
quality and transparency is key.
11
Locatable
"Locatable" refers to the ease with which users can find what they need. This includes
intuitive navigation, clear information architecture, and effective search functionality. A
locatable UX ensures that users can quickly and easily access the content, features, or
products they are looking for without frustration.
Helpful
A "helpful" UX provides users with the support and guidance they need to achieve their
goals. This includes clear instructions, helpful error messages, accessible customer support,
and features like FAQs or chatbots. A helpful UX anticipates user needs and proactively
assists them throughout their journey.
2.2 UI Factor
Aspects of Development
This refers to the technical and design considerations involved in creating a user interface.
Key aspects include:
Consistency: Maintaining uniformity in design elements (e.g., buttons, fonts, colors) across
the interface.
Performance: Ensuring the interface is fast, responsive, and free from lag or delays.
Accessibility: Making the UI usable for people with disabilities (e.g., screen reader
compatibility, keyboard navigation).
Cross-Platform Compatibility: Ensuring the UI works seamlessly across different devices and
screen sizes (e.g., desktop, mobile, tablet).
12
Aspects of Visibility
This focuses on how effectively the UI communicates information and guides users. Key
aspects include:
Clarity: Making sure text, icons, and visuals are clear and easy to understand.
Hierarchy: Using size, color, and placement to prioritize important elements and guide user
attention.
Feedback: Providing visual cues (e.g., animations, color changes) to indicate user actions
(e.g., button clicks, form submissions).
Readability: Ensuring text is legible with appropriate font sizes, contrast, and spacing.
Discoverability: Making sure key features and functions are easy to find and not hidden.
Factors of Acceptance
These are the elements that determine whether users will adopt and embrace the UI. Key
factors include:
Aesthetics: A visually appealing design that aligns with user preferences and brand identity.
Ease of Use: A simple and intuitive interface that minimizes the learning curve.
Efficiency: Allowing users to complete tasks quickly and with minimal effort.
Emotional Connection: Creating a positive emotional response through thoughtful design and
interactions.
Customization: Offering options for users to personalize their experience (e.g., themes,
layouts).
13
2.3 UX Process
Traditional UI
This refers to the conventional approach to designing user interfaces, often focused on visual
design and functionality without deep integration of user-centered design principles. Key
characteristics include:
Focus on Aesthetics: Prioritizing how the interface looks over how it works.
Limited User Involvement: User feedback is often collected late in the process or after the
product is launched.
Static Design: Designs are finalized early in the process, making it difficult to incorporate
changes based on user needs.
Tool-Centric: Reliance on design tools and templates rather than user research and testing.
While traditional UI can produce visually appealing designs, it often lacks the depth of user-
centered design, which can lead to usability issues.
Learn UX
This refers to the process of understanding and mastering the principles, methods, and tools
of user experience design. Key aspects include:
User Research: Learning how to gather insights about user needs, behaviors, and pain points
through methods like interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
14
Wireframing and Prototyping: Creating low-fidelity and high-fidelity mockups to visualize
and test design ideas.
Usability Principles: Understanding core principles like consistency, feedback, and simplicity
to create intuitive interfaces.
Tools and Techniques: Familiarizing yourself with UX tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD,
and user testing platforms.
Continuous Learning: Staying updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging
technologies.
"Learn UX" is an ongoing process that involves both theoretical knowledge and practical
application to create user-centered designs.
Agile UX
This is an approach that integrates user experience design into Agile development
methodologies. It emphasizes collaboration, flexibility, and iterative design. Key
characteristics include:
Iterative Process: Breaking the design process into small, manageable chunks (sprints) and
continuously refining the product based on user feedback.
User-Centered Focus: Regularly involving users through research, testing, and feedback
loops to ensure the product meets their needs.
Rapid Prototyping: Creating quick prototypes to test ideas and gather feedback early in the
process.
Adaptability: Being open to changes and improvements based on new insights or shifting
requirements.
15
Continuous Delivery: Releasing small, functional updates frequently rather than waiting for a
final product launch.
Agile UX is ideal for dynamic environments where user needs and market conditions evolve
rapidly. It ensures that the product remains aligned with user expectations while maintaining
development efficiency.
2.4 UI Process
Strategy
This is the foundational stage where the goals, objectives, and scope of the UI project are
defined. Key activities include:
Defining the purpose and goals of the UI (e.g., increase engagement, improve usability).
The strategy stage sets the direction for the entire project and ensures that the UI design
serves both user and business needs.
Research
This stage focuses on gathering insights about users, competitors, and the market. Key
activities include:
Conducting user research (e.g., interviews, surveys, focus groups) to understand user needs,
behaviors, and pain points.
Creating user personas and journey maps to represent target users and their interactions with
the product.
16
Research provides the data needed to make informed design decisions and ensures the UI is
user-centered.
Analysis
In this stage, the research data is analyzed to identify patterns, insights, and opportunities.
Key activities include:
The analysis stage bridges research and design, ensuring the UI addresses real user problems.
Design

Production
In this stage, the finalized designs are handed off to developers for implementation. Key
activities include:
17
Collaborating with developers to ensure the design is accurately translated into code.
Launch
This is the stage where the UI is released to the public. Key activities include:
Beta Launch
A beta launch involves releasing the UI to a limited audience for testing and feedback before
the full launch. Key activities include:
The beta launch helps identify potential issues and improve the UI before it reaches a wider
audience.
18
Evaluate
This stage focuses on assessing the success of the UI after launch. Key activities include:
Analyzing user feedback and behavior (e.g., through analytics, surveys, usability testing).
Measuring performance against the success metrics defined in the strategy stage.
The evaluation stage ensures continuous improvement and alignment with user needs and
business goals.
2.5 Usability
Functionality is more than simply whether customers can do responsibilities easily (alleviate-of–
use). It also works together with end-user satisfaction for a web website to become functional; it
has to be revitalizing and great-looking, also.
1. Learnability
2. Efficiency
3. Memo ability
4. Error
5. Satisfaction
19
2.6 Feature of Useable Product
There are five features of usable products
1. Effectiveness
2. Efficiency
3. Engagingness
4. Error Tolerance
5. Ease of Learning
2.7 Effectiveness
Effectiveness is the degree to which customers can accomplish their objectives with a high
degree of precision and dependability. The majority of an item's power comes from the help that
customers receive after using it. For example, ensuring that credit card field cards are filled out
correctly and only allow a sound bank card amount access can minimize information entry issues
and help end users perform their tasks efficiently. There are several techniques to demonstrate
that the main goal is typically to be as beneficial as feasible to the customer within a significant
plan.
Chapter 3
Design Study and Analysis
3.1 Analysis
Utilize the materials gathered during the research phase in this step. Make experience maps and
fictitious personalities using the information you have obtained.
20
Developing fictitious personas aids designers in understanding the many types of people
who will use your product. It makes it possible to show the finished product in a realistic
manner. After delivery, the design team can determine how it will appear.
These illustrate how users move through your finished product. During the product
definition phase, all of these are accomplished through appropriate client interactions and
visual representations. Phases in UI/UX Process
Conducting user research (e.g., interviews, observations, surveys) to gain insights into
user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
Exploring the problem space to identify underlying issues and opportunities.
Gathering data from stakeholders, market trends, and competitor analysis.
2. Define
In this stage, the insights gathered during the Discover stage are analyzed and synthesized to
define the core problem. Key activities include:
Organizing and interpreting research data to identify patterns and key insights.
Creating user personas and journey maps to represent target users and their experiences.
Formulating a clear and actionable problem statement (also known as a "point of view").
Prioritizing user needs and aligning them with business goals.
3. Ideate
This is the creative stage where the team generates a wide range of ideas and potential solutions.
Key activities include:
21
Using techniques like mind mapping, sketching, and SCAMPER to explore possibilities.
Encouraging collaboration and building on each other's ideas.
4. Prototype
In this stage, the team creates tangible representations of the selected ideas to test and refine
them. Key activities include:
5. Test
This is the final stage where the prototypes are tested with users to gather feedback and validate
the solutions. Key activities include:
Conducting usability testing sessions to observe how users interact with the prototypes.
Collecting qualitative and quantitative feedback through surveys, interviews, and
analytics.
Identifying pain points, usability issues, and areas for improvement.
22
Figure 3.2: UX Design Process
The Design Team, the Business Manager, and the Product Manager are all participating in this
phase. Clients in their surroundings should be consulted by the entire team. Examine their
requirements within the parameters of your business. Use case diagrams, user stories, and user
personas are the important products of this phase.
3.4 Research
For a designer, research is the most important component. For the current customer proposal, the
design team investigates the operation of the current system. At this point, the three primary
roles are:
3.5 Design
We ultimately bring the concepts we gathered in the first three steps to life throughout the design
process. Now is the time to start working on the finished visuals. During this stage, the design
team will implement the finished design.
Sketching: Sketching is the first step in the designing process. In order to visualize the
notion in plain language, the designers typically create hand-drawn sketches. Following
the sketching phase, the UX/UI designers might adhere to a specific choice. Examine
your current domain in detail.
Making wireframes: A wireframe is a graphic representation of the product's elements
and page hierarchy. A wireframe is regarded as the product's structural foundation.
Another name for it is the design's skeleton. It largely concerns how the finished project
looks overall.
Making Prototypes: Prototypes focus on how the UI/UX product being designed will
feel. The experience of interaction is more important. You can experience the influence
of a simulator using prototypes.
Developing Design Specifications: Task and user flow diagrams are included in design
specifications. It illustrates the general functionality and aesthetic specifications of the
UI/UX product. It explains the steps and visual components needed to produce
outstanding user experiences.

26
As I mentioned, Figma is a web-based application. To start using it, I need a desktop or laptop
computer with a dependable browser and an internet connection. Then, I can register for a free
account on the Figma framework and start working on my designs immediately.
I can create designs with Figma's user-friendly editor by starting from scratch or using pre-made
templates. Several resources are available to help you get started.
3.7 Testing
The testing stage establishes the final product's overall quality. The testers take notes on what
needs to be changed and forward it to the reputable team so that the mistakes can be fixed.
The There are some considerations that should be made while assessing your finished product.
They are as follows:
Chapter 4

Chapter 6
Conclusion and Future Scope
6.1 Conclusion
As a Conclusion, I can say the internship was a great experience. Thanks to this project, I
acquired deeper knowledge concerning my technical skills, but I also personally benefited.
29
Currently, UI/UX is used as a major application while developing mobile apps and it has become
a popular language worldwide. If we surf the internet, we can find a number of apps developed
using UI/UX. I learned to live in a different environment from the one I am used to. Indeed, I
grew more independent in work and in everyday life. I realized that I could do more things than I
thought like learning new things by myself.
For computer science student practical knowledge is essential but sensible understanding
provides much more self-confidence. “Reedify System Ltd” is playing an important role in
Bangladesh's development. I'm thankful to them for giving me a chance to work with them. Now
I'm implementing the knowledge that I got from my internship.
In the future, I want to start my own design and development agency in Bangladesh.
