EQUIPMENT TYPE Crocodile jack

EQUIPMENT CODE ASU-CJ-001

LOCATION Practical Work area


OPERATION Lift the vehicle using a crocodile jack in accordance with
PROCEDURE: safety and manufacturer procedures.

1. Park the vehicle on a flat, solid surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Turn off the engine and place wheel chocks on the wheels opposite to the lift side.
3 .Identify the correct jacking point under the vehicle using the manual.
4. Position the crocodile jack (ASU-CJ-001) securely under the jacking point.
5.Begin pumping the jack handle slowly and steadily to lift the vehicle.
6.Lift the vehicle only as high as needed to perform the task.
7.Place jack stands under the appropriate support points.
8.Lower the vehicle slightly onto the jack stands to distribute the weight.
9.After service, raise the vehicle slightly, remove jack stands, then lower the vehicle
slowly to the ground.
10.Remove the jack and re-check vehicle stability.
