is 20cm. find the focal length of the mirror.
i. +10cm
ii. -10cm
iii. +40cm

c) An athlete prefers to land on sand instead of hard floor while taking a long jump.
d) A ball thrown vertically upwards in a moving train, come back to thrower’s hand.
e) The screen of a cinema hall is made rough.
3. While visiting an amusement park Ritam had seen a special type of mirror. When he had stood in
front of it he found that his image has a very small head, a fat body and legs of normal size.
a) What can be shapes of the three parts of the mirror?
b) If he had moved by 2m towards the mirror, which part of the image would move by the same
extent?
c) Which of these three parts could be used in headlight of an automobile? (3+1+1=5)
Section-B

4. (3+4+3=10)
a) An object is moving with velocity v. After 1s velocity increases to nv. Prove that displacement
of the object after 1s is: s = (n+1)v/2.
b) While performing an experiment of simple pendulum a student found following readings:
No of Effective Time for 20 osc( in s) Time for 1 osc(in s)
obn length(cm)
1 100 41.2 2.06
