FOREWORD On behalf of the Rector, Staff and pupils of
St George's College it is my pleasure to
welcome you all to the St George's College
U20 Soccer Tournament kindly sponsored
again by Hammer and Tongues. Without
their generosity it would not be easy to host
a tournament of this nature and I thank Mr
Brian Makwabarara and Hammer and
Tongues, as principal sponsor.
Many people have been involved with the
organisation of the tournament and I wish to
thank Mr Goodrich Tshuma (Teacher in
Charge), the Parents’ Committee, Mr Mini Mac-
donald and Grounds Staff, Mr Ken Purse, Ms
Tabeth Zvidzwa and Functions Team, Sr Debrah
Mwatse and Mars Medical Team, Match Officials, St George's College Soccer
parents (especially the mums), our tournament sponsors and St George's
College Soccer Staff. The games would not take place without the assistance
of everyone involved and I thank them all for their contributions, in advance, in
making for a successful tournament.

Rules
Team Submission:
Send an electronic copy of your school team list to tshumag@sgc.ac.zw and kumundatid@sgc.ac.zw by May 30th.
Include a stamped picture of the players with the headmaster.
Physical Submission:
Submit a physical copy of the team list along with:
National IDs
Birth certificates
A copy of the electronic photo sent
This must be done on Friday, May 30th.
Team Composition:
Each team is allowed a maximum of 20 players.
The submitted player list cannot be altered after submission.
Attendance Requirement:
All 20 players must be present on Friday, May 30th.
No additional or absent players will be allowed into the squad after this date.
Player Vetting:
Vetting of players will occur throughout the tournament.
A panel of selectors will assist with the vetting process.
Match Regulations:
At any time during matches, a team may have no more than 20 players in the technical area, in addition to those on the field of play.
Disqualification:
Failure to adhere to these vetting rules will result in automatic disqualification from the tournament and a ban from future
participation.
1. Only those born on or after 1 January 2006 will qualify to play (identification documents will be required)
2. A bell will be used to signal the start and end of game
3. All FIFA rules will apply on yellow and red cards.2 yellow miss the next match. All cautions fall away after group stages.

4. Each game will be 30 minutes long with two halves of 15 minutes.
5. Half time will be only 5 min long
6. Deliberate time wasting will be penalised.
7. Teams to do warm up outside the playing field before their games
8. Injured players will be treated outside the field of play and at the nearest touchline point.
9. The top 2 teams from each pool will qualify for the quarter finals. In the event of a tie-on points in the same group head-to-head
counts, next goal difference, goals scored.
10. In the event of a tie-on points in different group we will consider goal difference and 2nd goal scored and finally penalty shoot-out
will determine progression.
11. Boys are expected to behave well on and off the field of play
12. Players who remonstrate on referees will be carded as seen fit by the referees.
13. A team caught cheating is automatically disqualified and points forfeited to their opposition
14. All teams to submit all their team list and documents for registering to the organisers by 13:45 on Friday the 17th of May.
15. Each team should bring 2 sets of different playing kit. (One dark and one light).
