The Pagan Origins of the Cross

Written by Ashton Scales 08/21

*Like many of the doctrines and symbols of the Christian faith, the reality of the
commonly displayed cross is it is of pagan origin.

*It's pagan origin is traced back to ancient Chaldea which is known as Babylon as far
back as 2000 B.C. The Babylonians were the enemies of the God of Israel and were
steeped in occult sun and fertility worship with Nimrod, Ishtar, and Tammuz being the
most prominent gods.

*The ancient Babylonian cross was a simple T and thought to represent Tammuz the
son of Nimrod the mighty hunter and his wife Ishtar the queen of heaven.
T for Tammuz

*Tammuz is the second member of the unholy Babylonian godhead trinity and is
thought to be the incarnation of God in the flesh. The citizens were known to wear
headdresses and breastplates with the cross or an X on them for their allegiance to his
messiah like status.

*The cross symbol was also found in the Gentile land of Egypt and thought to represent
life, power, strength, and good luck. The name for the symbol there was called an
“Ankh”.

*Both of these pagan cultures used the cross as a good luck charm to ward off evil
spirits and was placed over the tombs of the deceased as a protector well over a
thousand years before the life of Jesus, the Christian religion messiah.

*The LORD of Hosts forbids these charms and idols used by the pagan Gentile culture
for His elect olive tree saints.

“You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven
above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
you shall not bow down to them nor serve them.” - The 10 commandments

*The possession of the cross like many Christian religion symbols is an act of idolatry
and symbolizes witchcraft and strange devotion.

*The devil and his fallen angels are considered the sun god and the good spirits to the
Gentile world and occult religions, and the God of Israel, His angels, and the Olive Tree
saints are considered the evil entities. Satan and his forces use the Gentile religions to
invert the lies to truth, and the truth to lies to the destruction of all.

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;

Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
- Isaiah 5:20

*The LORD of Hosts hates the Gentile culture and considers their pagan way of life an
abomination.

“When the LORD your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess,
and you displace them and dwell in their land, take heed to yourself that you are not
ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not
inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do
likewise'. You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way; for every abomination to the
LORD which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and
daughters in the fire to their gods.
Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from
it.”
- Deuteronomy 12:29-32

*He tells His elect of the “Green Olive Tree” to “Not learn the way of the Gentiles”.
- Jeremiah 10:2

*The LORD of Hosts demands His people to distinguish between the spiritually clean
and the unclean things of this fallen environment.

“Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the LORD.
Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”
- 2nd Corinthians 6:17

*The Roman Catholic Church is responsible for taking much of the Babylonian culture
and giving new names to the most sacred and cherished building blocks of the false and
pagan religion of “Christianity.” See the “Pagan Christianity” Outline for further detail.

*In the middle of the third century A.D., the cross or crucifix became an icon instituted
by the Council of Nicea for the religious movement and incorporated for all worship
after 430 A.D. The authority of the Bible became purposefully compromised and
replaced with the Greco-Roman traditions leading to full apostasy. By the sixth century
the Council at Ephesus made a decree a cross was a requirement in every home.

*After all, the Roman Catholics use the idea of “Mary the mother of Jesus” as a living god
to pray to and ask for divine guidance. This is because their Mary is the fertility goddess
Ishtar and was known in Babylon as the “queen of heaven”. Today many Catholics and
Protestants receive a cross symbol mark on their foreheads each year on “Ash
Wednesday” to surreptitiously promote their messiah Tammuz.

*It was also in the fourth century that the “Trinity” doctrine became a necessity for one's
salvation. The baseless idea that God is three people in one called the “Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit” is directly copied from Babylon's “Nimrod, Tammuz, and Ishtar.”

*The Bible clearly teaches “the LORD our God, the LORD is one.”
– Deuteronomy 6:4

*The spirit of LORD called the Ruach, is His mind and His revelation. It is not another
person and has no gender.

*According to the New Testament writings, The Ruach is given as a gift only to those
obeying the Olive Tree commandments.
– Acts 5:32
*According to the Torah scripture, Joshua and Caleb were spared from death in the
wilderness and got full access into the promise land because they obeyed the
commandments and had another spirit. Numbers 14:24 / Numbers 27:18

*When the children of Israel deliberately walked away from the commandments given
to their fathers in the time of Moses they became arrogant and licentious and freely
worshiped the demons of the nations that were the tail. They refused to repent and this
resulted in Israel becoming that tail and the heathen nations around becoming their

head. They became accursed and were cast into Babylonian captivity to learn their
culture for themselves and their descendants for generations to come as catastrophic
punishment from the Most High for rejecting the guidelines of the Olive Tree way, and
thus perished for lack of knowledge.....even to this very day!

“Then all the men who knew that their wives had burned incense to other gods, with all the
women who stood by, a great multitude, and all the people who dwelt in the land of Egypt, in
Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying: “As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name
of the LORD, we will not listen to you! But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our
own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as
we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the
streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, were well-off, and saw no trouble. But
since we stopped burning incense to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to
her, we have lacked everything and have been consumed by the sword and by famine.”
The women also said, “And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven and poured out
drink offerings to her, did we make cakes for her, to worship her, and pour out drink
offerings to her without our husbands’ permission?”

-Jeremiah 44:15-19

*In the writings of Solomon's book titled “Ecclesiastes”, the warning was given in the
first chapter that nothing new is under the sun. It was stated that the things that are,
were done in ancient times before, and the things of the past will be done again.

*The religion of Catholicism / Christianity is ancient sun worship. Many believers

claiming to know the true living God of the Hebrew Bible have taken symbols like doves
from the heavens, trees and wooden images of the earth, and fish from the sea to
represent Jesus from the New Testament.

*Carefully evaluating and following the directions in the Torah and the prophets section
of the Bible is the key to salvation. Ezekiel 20:21

*The LORD of Hosts gave His people His word. It is an everlasting word for all
generations to follow closely without deviating to the left or right. Psalm 89:34

*The Babylonian cross of Tammuz has always been a profane symbol of the occult.
