Dear Sir/Madam,

Appeal for Direct Entry Admission into Medicine & Surgery

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Michael Okorie, and I am a graduate of
Bingham University, where I obtained a B.Sc. in Physiology with a CGPA of 3.21. I am
writing to express my deep interest in securing a Direct Entry admission into the Medicine
& Surgery program at Veritas University.

From a young age, I have been deeply passionate about medicine, and my academic journey
in physiology has only strengthened my resolve to pursue a career as a medical doctor. My
undergraduate studies provided me with a strong foundation in human anatomy, physiology,
and medical sciences, making me well-prepared for the rigorous medical training ahead.

However, I must acknowledge that my CGPA does not fully reflect my academic potential.
Throughout my undergraduate years, I faced significant health challenges due to sickle cell
anemia, which often resulted in hospitalizations and disruptions to my studies. Despite these
obstacles, I remained determined, completed my degree, and continued to push forward
towards my dream of becoming a doctor.

I am confident that, given the opportunity, I will excel in the Medicine & Surgery program.
My perseverance through adversity has strengthened my resilience and commitment to this
field. I am more than willing to demonstrate my capabilities through an entrance exam,
interview, or any additional academic evaluation that the university may require.

I humbly request that my application be reconsidered in light of my unique circumstances and

unwavering dedication to medicine. Veritas University represents the ideal institution where I
can fully develop my potential and contribute meaningfully to the medical profession.

Thank you for taking the time to review my appeal. I would greatly appreciate the
opportunity to further discuss my application and any possible pathways to admission. I am
available at your convenience and can be reached via [email protected] or
09131381149.

I sincerely hope for your positive consideration.

Yours faithfully,
Michael Okorie

Dear Sir/Madam,

Appeal for Direct Entry Admission into Medicine & Surgery

I hope this letter reaches you in good health and spirits. My name is Michael Okorie, and I
am writing with my whole heart, with hope in my hands, and a dream I have fought for all
my life. I am a B.Sc. Physiology graduate from Bingham University, and despite life’s
many battles, I stand before you today with just one plea, to be given the chance to study
Medicine & Surgery at Veritas University.

For as long as I can remember, medicine has been more than a career choice to me, it has
been my calling. I have seen pain, felt suffering, and endured more than I can put into words,
and through it all, one truth has remained: I want to be a doctor. I want to heal, to comfort, to
give hope the same way I have needed it so many times in my life.

My journey has not been easy. I was born with sickle cell anemia, a condition that has
shaped my existence in ways I never asked for. My university years were filled with hospital
visits, excruciating crises, and moments of helplessness where my body failed me no matter
how hard my mind fought. There were days when I studied through pain, nights when I held
my books with trembling hands, and exams I walked into straight from a hospital bed. But I
never gave up. I refused to give up.

Despite these struggles, I completed my degree in Physiology with a CGPA of 3.21. It may
not be a first-class, but it is the best I could give under circumstances I wouldn’t wish on
anyone. I know deep in myheart that my grades do not define my intelligence, my resilience,
or my potential to thrive in medical school. What they reflect is a young man who has fought
every single day just to be here.

I am not asking for pity, I am asking for a chance. A chance to prove that I belong in this
field. A chance to show that my struggles have made me more prepared, more
compassionate, and more determined to be a doctor. Medicine is not just about intelligence; it
is about humanity, perseverance, and the willingness to serve. If there is anyone who
understands the suffering of a patient, it is someone who has been one all their life.

I know that admission into Medicine & Surgery is highly competitive, and I do not take this
appeal lightly. But I ask that you look beyond my CGPA and see the fire that refuses to die
in me. If given this opportunity, I will dedicate myself to my studies with every fiber of my
being. I will work harder than I ever have, because this is not just a dream, it is my purpose.
Please, I humbly request that my application be reconsidered. If necessary, I am willing to
take an entrance exam, undergo an interview, or meet any other requirements to prove my
readiness for this journey. I place my future in your hands, hoping that you will see my heart
and grant me the chance to become the doctor I was meant to be.

Thank you for your time, your understanding, and your consideration. No matter the
outcome, I will always hold on to hope.

Yours faithfully,
Michael Okorie
