NTP 002. Extra Fuel Policy

A new Extra Fuel Policy will take effect on January 25, 2024, requiring pilots to consult with the Chief Pilot for any additional fuel beyond the Minimum Required Block Fuel. Reasons for extra fuel must be documented on the Flight Plan, and using ballast as a reason for extra fuel is prohibited. Pilots are also encouraged to review the In-Flight Fuel Management Policy and related guidelines.

EXTRA FUEL POLICY

Dear Colleagues,

We hereby to inform that there will be company policy change regarding Extra fuel reference to Circular Letter
002/DZLG/SE/I/2024 and as per effective date of this NTP, the EXTRA FUEL POLICY is:
1. PIC must consult with Chief Pilot for adding extra fuel more than Minimum Require Block Fuel on the
Operational Flight Plan during dispatch
2. The reason(s) must be written down on the Flight Plan
3. It is prohibited to use ballast as extra fuel reason. If fuel is needed as ballast, it will be provided by the
Dispatcher

We would like all Pilot also to review In-Flight Fuel Management Policy on OM. A Chapter 8.3.10 and Go-
Around, Diversions and Other decisions by Flight Crew on OM-A Chapter 2.1.6
