The notes below are provided for you to demonstrate the skills you will practice when you create Project
1A. As necessary, refer to the steps in the text and Word_1A_script_ data1 and Word_1A_ script_data2.

Objective 1: Create a New Document and Insert Text
● Start Word. Click Blank Document.
● Show formatting marks and show the ruler. Save the file as

1.01 Creating a New
Word ● Type Trainee Positions Available and press Enter twice.
Document ● Type the following text: This fall, Green Pointe will be hosting a two-
week overnight camp in the Mountains looking at native birds and
wildlife. We have positions available for two paid fall trainees. Press
spacebar. (Instructor: Discuss Figures 1.2 and 1.3 from the textbook.)

● Select the title including the paragraph mark and:
Apply the Fill: Blue, Accent color 5; Outline: White, Background color
