All teams in a group play against each other
No elimination after group stage
Teams get filtered into gold, silver & bronze for knockouts
Each fixture consists of 2 doubles & 1 “Tag Doubles Match”
1 point for winning a regular doubles match
1 points for winning a tag match
1 additional point if you contain the opposition to under 12
points (11 or below 11 points in a tag match)
Further 1 additional point if you contain the opposition to
under 7 points (6 or below 6 points in a tag match)
So a team could potentially rake up 3 points from a tag match if
they beat their opposition and restrict them to fewer than 7
points.
Total points at the end of the group stages will determine
which team goes to which category of knock outs
In case of a tie at the end of the group phase, the team with the
maximum number of tag matches won, will be ranked higher.
In case it is still tied then head to head in tag match would be
considered (not applicable in case of a tie involving more than
2 teams)
In case of a further tie, point difference will determine the
ranks of the team, only Tag Matches Point Difference will be
considered.
Points system will be the same for knock out rounds
In case of a tie in the knockout matches, the team winning the
tag match will qualify for the next round.
What is a Tag Match?
Match of 21 points (rally scoring method)
2 players from each team start the game
1 player changes after every 5 points scored
Player changes take place when your team reaches the scores
of 5, 10 & 15 respectively.

Opposition’s score doesn’t affect your team’s player changes
All players have to play 2 periods of 5 points each
No player can play more than 2 periods of 5 points
1st player to leave the court (after scoring 5 points) can come
back when the team reaches 15 points
The last pair will continue till the end of the game

of at least 2 points
Match can only be won on your serve
Handicap for female players

In Tag matches only 1 woman gets handicap of 2 points, i.e. 1
point for each set of 5 points she is on the court for. (explained
later in Example)
Additional Female player(s) will not receive any further
handicap.
Example
Shantanu, Dhruv, Abhishek & Shikha make a team
Score 0-0; Dhruv & Shantanu start the game
Score reaches 5-2; Dhruv leaves the court & Abhishek comes in
Shantanu & Abhishek continue the score reaches 10-8 &
Shantanu leaves the court, Shikha comes in.
Since Shikha is a female, 1 handicap point gets added, score is
now 11-8 and Abhishek & Shikha continue
At 15-17, Abhishek leaves the court & Dhruv joins, also score
becomes 16-17 as we get 1 handicap point for Shikha again.
