3.Dear John,

How are you doing? I’m writing to tell you about a special celebration in my country-
Easter for Christian people.

We celebrate Easter on a different Sunday in spring. We celebrate Jesus Christ’s

revival. People prepare special food and paint eggs before Easter. My parents prepare
roasted lamb and salads and I, with my friend, paint the eggs and decorate them. On
Saturday night we go to church and we wait for the priest to bring us the light for the
candles and we sing the revival song. We go back home and we knock the painted eggs and
we eat together. I celebrate Easter with my family, and I like that we stay late at night, but I
don’t like to stand for a long time at the church.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon and tell me about what celebration you
like the most.

Love,

Alex

9. Dear John,

How are you doing? I’m writing to tell you how I celebrate my birthday.

I usually have a party at home. I invite my relatives but also some of my friends. We
buy food and sweets, and a nice birthday cake and we buy decorations and confetti for
the party too. At the party we play different games, we eat and drink, we dance and we
have fun together. I like to receive games, books and money to buy my favourite things.
I am always happy and thankful to my parents for organising the party for me.

Please write and tell me about how you celebrate your birthday and how you feel.

Bye/ Love/ Take care,

Alex
4. – last school year

Dear John,

How are you today? I’m writing to tell you about my last school year.

The school year that ended was awesome because I had online classes- a new and
interesting experience. My favourite subject was Art because I love colours and paintings.
My favourite day of the week was Thursday because I had easy classes at school, and after
school I had painting classes, that I love so much. Next year I plan to make new friends. I’m
going to move to a new school, and I’m going to learn many new things to be a good
student.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon and tell me about how you your last
school year was.

Hugs,

Alex

5. Dear John

How are you today? I’m writing to tell you about my summer plans. It is going to be
an awesome summer for me.

I want to spend my summer with my family, to have fun together. I want to go to

Maldive Islands to swim in the Indian Ocean, to admire the colourful fish there and to catch
tan. My family and I are going to visit Paris this summer to see the art museums like Louvre
and the Eiffel Tower. I am going to eat the famous French Croissants. When we return from
abroad I want to spend time with my friend, to ride our bikes and penny boards, play tennis
and walk together.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon and tell me about your summer plans.

Hugs,

Alex
