Adenosine Deaminase (ADA) serum
ADA (Adenosine Deaminase) Serum 43.00 U/L
Serum, Method: Enzymatic
COMMENT:
The Adenosine Deaminase (ADA) test determines Adenosine Deaminase activity in human serum or other body fluids. Increased levels of ADA
are found in various forms of tuberculosis. Though ADA is also increased in various conditions like infectious mononucleosis, typhoid, acute
hepatitis, alcoholic hepatic fibrosis, chronic active hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, viral hepatitis, and in case of tumors.

COMMENTS:
Amylase is an enzyme produced primarily by the pancreas and the salivary glands to help digest carbohydrates. This test
measures the amount of amylase in the blood or urine or sometimes in peritoneal fluid, the fluid found between the
membranes that cover the abdominal cavity and the outside of the abdominal organs.
Increased amylase levels can occur with pancreatitis, which is inflammation of the pancreas, or when the pancreatic duct is
blocked by a gallstone or, in rare cases, with a pancreatic tumor.
Lipase
Lipase 43.8 IU/L 13-60
Serum, Enzymatic Colorimetric Assay
Comments:
Lipase is one of several enzymes produced by the pancreas to help digest dietary fats. Lipase is usually present in the
blood in small quantities. When cells in the pancreas are injured, like with pancreatitis, or when the pancreatic duct is
blocked by a gallstone, increased amounts of lipase enter the blood and result in higher concentrations in the blood.
