Authors Detail

Dr Lalita Kumar Mohanty has successfully completed his under


graduation, M Sc (Ag). and Ph D in Agronomy from Odisha University
of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar. He has published
several research and review papers in national and international
journals. Several scientific popular articles, book chapters and
technical bulletins are published by him. He is a life member of 8
professional societies His many radio and TV talks on agriculture have been broadcasted
from AIR, DD & ETV. He has 25 years of experience in teaching, research and extension in
agronomy. Now he is working as Scientist (Agronomy) in KVK of OUAT including more
than five years as in-charge Senior Scientist and Head. He has focussed his activities in weed
science, farming system and organic farming.

Dr. Awanindra Kumar Tiwari is currently working as Scientist- Plan


Protection (Entomology) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Raebareli of Chandra
Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, UP.
He has completed his Ph.D. (Agril. Zoology and Entomology) from
Department of Zoology, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj. He has 15
years’ experience as Scientist. He obtained Excellence in Extension and
Best KVK Scientist Award. He has published many National and
International Research Papers, Books, Chapters and Popular Articles. Dr. Tiwari has vast
experience and expertise in Agril. Entomology, Biological Control, IPM, Sodic Land
Reclamation, Organic Farming and Natural Farming. He has work experience, 4 years as
Project Manager (A World Bank Funded Project- Uttar Pradesh Sodic Land Reclamation), 3
years as Block Development Officer and 8 years as Farm Manager.

Mr. Chandan.A.S is a Ph.D. Scholar in the Department of Crop


Physiology at Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat-13,Assam. With
profound excellence and a meritorious academic record. He has
completed his under-graduation from University of Agricultural
Sciences Bangalore, College of Agriculture Hassan, Karnataka. By
securing AIR-58(NTA) Entrance examination, he successfully
completed his master’s degree at Department of Crop Physiology, ANGRAU,
S.V.Agricultural College, Tirupati. He also qualified the ICAR-AIEEA-Ph.D. (SRF)
Entrance Examination for pursuing his Ph.D. programme. He has his into account several
research papers, review papers, Book chapters and popular articles. He currently works on
the Characterization of rice genotypes to submergence rice by remote sensing techniques .
Dr Purvi Tiwari is currently working as Senior Research Fellow
(Agricultural Mechanization Division) at ICAR-Central Institute of
Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal, (M.P.). She had pursued B.Tech.
(Agril. Engg.) from JNKVV, Jabalpur in 2017 and M.Tech. with the
specialization in Farm Machinery and Power Engineering from
IGKV, Raipur in 2019 through ICAR-JRF exam with an NTS
scholarship. She has also completed Ph.D. in the broad area of research ergonomics and
safety in agriculture. She is gold medalist of her PG batch in 2019 at IGKV, Raipur. Her PG
thesis has been recognized as Best PG thesis award at International seminar on Modern
Agriculture Approaches in 21 st century, organized by Samagra Vikas Welfare Society, 2019.
She has also been awarded with best research paper award for “Anthropometry of Tribal
Farm Women to Improvise Hand Tool Designs for Bastar District of Chhattisgarh “ at “56th
Annual Convention of Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers. Her remarkable
contribution to the field are reflected in various research publications in national and
international journals as well as numerous book chapters and popular articles.

Miss Sweta Sahoo is currently persuing Ph.D. in Agricultural


Extension and Communication at Institute of Agricultural Sciences,
SOADU, Bhubaneswar , Odisha. To her credit She has published
around 12 research papers in various reputed national and international
journals indexed under Scopus, Web of Science, UGC care and
NAAS. Besides that She has published book chapters, popular articles
too.
