THEME 1
Physics: Electric Vehicles: A Sustainable Future or a Challenge for Our Environment?"
Tripura is one of the seven sister states also known as “Paradise Unexplored” of north-
eastern India. It is geographically the third smallest state with around 75% of its
population. Tripura has emerged as a significant player in India's electric vehicle (EV)
landscape, marked by proactive policies and impressive adoption rates It ranks third
nationally in EV penetration, with 2.02% of vehicles being electric, surpassing the national
average of 0.8%. This places Tripura just behind Delhi and Assam in EV adoption rates.
Explore the dual aspects of EVs—whether they truly offer a sustainable future or present
unforeseen challenges to the environment. By comparing the advantages and
disadvantages, provide a comprehensive assessment of whether EVs are a boon for the
environment in the long run or if they present a bane in certain aspects, suggest
technological and policy advancements to overcome these challenges.
Mathematics:
1. Write the Average CO₂ emissions for conventional vehicles and for EV’s. Calculate by
what percentage the emission is less in EV’s.
2. Make a double bar graph representing the registered two-wheeler(EV’s) and four-
wheeler (EV’s) in Mizoram in the last 4 years.

THEME 2
Chemistry:
Plants have been used for medicinal purposes long before prehistoric period. Ancient Unani
manuscripts Egyptian papyrus and Chinese writings described the use of herbs. Evidence
exist that Unani Hakims, Indian Vaids and European and Mediterranean cultures were using
herbs for over 4000 years as medicine. Indigenous cultures such as Rome, Egypt, Iran,
Africa and America used herbs in their healing rituals, while other developed traditional
medical systems such as Unani, Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine in which herbal therapies
were used systematically.
As our lifestyle is now getting techno-savvy, we are moving away from nature. We cannot
escape from nature because we are part of nature. As herbs are natural products they are
free from side effects, they are comparatively safe, eco-friendly and locally available.
Traditionally there are lots of herbs used for the ailments related to different seasons.
There is a need to promote them to save the human lives.
Make a list of 5 such medicinal plants found in Tripura/ Mizoram. Paste their pictures and
write their medicinal value (that is what are they used as a remedy for). You need to do this
on A4 size sheets.
Mathematics:
The government is promoting horticulture sector in Mizoram and encouraging more farmers
to adopt horticultural crops in the state.
Write the approximate area (in hectares) used to cultivate each of turmeric, Chayote and
grapes in Mizoram. Also, write the yield (in kgs) per hectare of these crops for the years
2020 to 2024. Find the mean production of these three crops for these years.
Do the comparative study of production of these crops in Mizoram with respect to rest of
India.

According to data, Tripura has:
- 60% of its geographical area under forest cover
- Over 500 species of orchids
- Rich wildlife, including elephants, tigers, and leopards
Mizoram, similarly, is known for its:
- Dense forests, with around 84% forest cover
- Diverse wildlife, including the Clouded Leopard and Asiatic Black Bear
- Unique cultural heritage tied to its natural environment
Both states face challenges from human activities which threaten their ecosystems and biodiversity.
Conservation efforts are crucial to preserving these regions' natural beauty and ecological balance.
