UNIT 9
Cyberbullying is a big problem in high schools today. It happens when students use the internet
or phones to send mean messages, spread rumors, or embarrass others. Many students feel sad, scared,
or alone because of cyberbullying. It can also make them afraid to go to school or talk to friends. To
stop cyberbullying, schools, parents, and students must work together. First of all, schools should teach
students about cyberbullying. Teachers can explain why it is wrong and how to report it. Schools
should also have rules to punish cyberbullies. Second, parents should talk to their children about online
safety. They should check what their children do on the internet and help them if they have a problem.
Finally, students should be kind to each other online. If they see cyberbullying, they should report it
instead of staying silent. Cyberbullying is a serious issue, but if we all work together, we can make the
internet a safer place for everyone.
