Home or Hobby use. It will show how much loss
the fiber run is giving you and is accurate enough
to catch flaws.
A good reading will not catch all issues but it is a
good go / no go test. I tested it on a 30m run and it
showed very little loss and my testing of the
network appears to confirm the results.

I will tell you right away that I do not know

everything about this tool infact for networking
using optical I am still learning and that is from my
graveyard shifts.

I have another that is just optical tester and then I

get this one. Oh man it has things on top of this
optical tester that uses light too that I am really
need to learn. Such as it can test how much data it
sees so kind of like how much currant is flowing.
Somehow it can read it so if the specks are not
where they need to be then perhaps the concern
will be there.

Like I said I now have alot to learn an I am glad

because this tool is forcing me to understand more
on what there is so I can use all the functions it
has.

I dropped the 5 to 4 star on easy to use because it's

not till get use to it but everything else definitely
will be 5s.

Hope the will be Good Luck for both of us with this

tool. See ya later.
