Executive Summary
This report is a summary of my six-week internship at MCB Bank, Rangpura Branch, Sialkot.
During this period, I was given the opportunity to observe and participate in various
banking activities and departmental operations. I gained practical exposure in customer
service, operations, and financial transactions. This experience not only enhanced my
technical knowledge but also improved my communication, time management, and
professional skills.
Introduction of MCB Bank
MCB Bank Ltd., established in 1947, is one of Pakistan's leading commercial banks. With a
wide network of branches across the country, it offers a broad range of financial services
including retail, corporate, and Islamic banking. MCB is known for its customer-centric
approach and technological advancements, and it has consistently won awards for
performance and innovation in the financial sector.
Objectives of the Internship

Departmental Overview
During my internship, I observed and worked in the following departments:
1. Customer Service Department – Account opening, cheque issuance, customer queries
2. Cash Department – Handling deposits, withdrawals, and balancing cash
3. Operations Department – Internal records management and compliance
4. Sales & Marketing – Promoting bank products and customer acquisition
Tasks Performed
- Assisted in filling account opening forms and verifying documents
- Helped customers with ATM-related queries and card issuance
- Observed daily cash transactions under supervision
- Maintained files and documentation of customer accounts
- Participated in weekly staff meetings and briefings
Skills Gained

Challenges Faced
Initially, it was challenging to understand the technical terms and procedures used in

help of my supervisor and colleagues, I gradually became more confident and efficient in
handling tasks.
