million people in America follow a vegetarian based diet. With more and more people choosing not
to consume meat, the vegetarian market has grown a lot. Since vegetarianism and veganism have
gone mainstream so has vegetarian food. As a vegetarian, it is important that one attains the proper
nutrients that one misses from not consuming meat based foods. One of the key components to a
vegetarian diet is a vegetable named soybean, also known as the miracle bean. Soy products provide
calcium, protein, iron, and many more nutrients. Since soybeans can be easily manipulated, they are
used formed to be meat textured and flavored to imamate meat. Some of the main vegetarian brands

Catcher In The Rye Phony Analysis
Phoniness is a trait that people adapt to over a period of time, whether it s reacting in agreement
to something they dislike, or hanging out with people that you don t want to be with, people are
constantly being fake or phony. People are taught to be phony to help the world go around, from
actors and advertisement, to the bartender at a nightclub, phoniness is everywhere. Being phony
is a way of living in that your actions change from one s usual reactions. People may just want to
be nice, but if inside they don t feel like it, being phony is the way they act and they . In J.D.
Salinger s Catcher in the Rye, the meaning of the word phony develops throughout the novel as
Salinger illustrates new characters, along with the actions that they display while being around
Holden Caulfield. By being phony is how one could get on Holden s bad side in the novel.
Holden is an irresponsible teenager who can t help but lie and get kicked out of schools in the
1940 s. Since freshman year, he s been expelled from four boarding schools and he is only a
junior in high school. Being as negative as he is, he is rejected by almost anyone he interacts
with, besides his family. To be phony in Holden s terms, one is regarded as somebody who acts in
a way to be liked by a certain crowd of people. Throughout the novel, Holden develops a meaning to
the word phony by illustrating how people act and how he feels about them. Holden constantly finds
anything including people, places, and

Replace Your Antihistamines With Long Acting Allergy Treatments

Do you have allergies and have been on antihistamines for a long time? Do you experience side
effects from your medication or perhaps it doesn t work as well as it could? Did you know that
some physicians don t recommend taking antihistamines long term because they tend to cover
over the problem and can actually make your allergy worse? Have you ever taken Benadryl? I don t
know about you but Benadryl knocks me for a loop, I can t function on it. I m allergic to
neurotoxins so I m allergic to corals, hydroids and jellyfish. I was scuba diver for 40 years and
repeatedly got stung almost every time I went diving. Had to go to the emergency room a number
of times and that s where prescription Benadryl or cortisol came into play. My doctors told me I
needed to quite diving or I could die, however I wasn t about to give up driving. I loved it too much.

This is a long term therapy that has been used for decades. This procedure can significantly reduce
symptoms and decrease the need for antihistamines. It can also help protect against developing
other allergies. This therapy changes how the immune system sees your allergens. These shots
help your body get used to your allergen trigger which prevents the run away immune response.
First you need to be tested to find what you react to and then a custom treatment is developed.
The idea is to expose you to increasing higher doses of your allergen trigger until you no longer
react to it. You ll need to be vaccinated repeatedly over a number of months so you ll need to go to
the doctor on a regular basis. That s the down side to this. It is possible to take your immunotherapy
sublingually (SLIT) and forgo the shots (yeah). And, you can take the medicine at home, no doctor
visits after initial assessment and
To What Extent Did The Collapse Of Apartheid South Africa...
To what extent did the collapse of Apartheid in South Africa (1991) really bring about change for the
Bantu population?

The collapse of Apartheid in South Africa (1991) brought only a small amount of change for the
Bantu population. South still faces racism in society, due to the continual domination by the white
population with race interaction limited to the false rainbow television campaigns and promotional
Africa strategies. At the close of Apartheid, a number of false statements were used to convince the
people of South Africa of this ideology. A rainbow nation where reconciliation without justice had
virtue. This illusion of equality is still evident through the white socioeconomic clubs and areas still
maintaining apartheid ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Apartheid was a reaction by these Afrikaners to this rapid change. This insistence on racial apartness
became the political and legal doctrine of apartheid. It was an accepted Government policy that the
Bantu (native) are only temporarily residents in the European (white) areas of the Republic for as
long as they offer their labour there. (The Department of Bantu Administration and Administration
1957)

This injustice of apartheid towards the Bantu population is evident through the unfair distribution of
land. 80% of South Africa s land was given to the white minority population of the time, despite the
fact that they consisted of less than 10% of the population. The government also introduced influx
control laws to limit the number of permits released to black South Africans allowing them to leave
their homelands and work in cities or on white farms. The white government s forceful policies
included little to no spending on significant finances, which constructed services in the Bantu
Homelands. Schools hospitals and public transport, reliable electricity and running water, public
telephones and sewerage systems were rare. (L. Thompson, op cit, p 201.) This inequality and
unfairness towards the Bantu population was evident for many years before apartheid collapsed.

In 1989, the National Party of South Africa elected a new leader, F.W. de Klerk. 1989. The

Warkentin Chapter Summary
How does one describe land? What determines how one describes it? Does it matter about what year
the chapter is written? In Chapter 12 of Warkentin s text, he elaborates on the spacial complexities
humans had in British Columbia between 1840 s and early 2000 s. Warkentin flows from the
Southern British Columbia region to the Central areas of British Columbia then continues
observations to the Island Pacific coast which finishes with the Metropolitan B.C. His expertise of
the land is almost overwhelming with descriptions of the Natural features, resources, and settlements
within the area expressing tremendous spacial and humanistic details, highlighting the Canadian
Pacific Railway(CPR) and the important history between Aboriginals and the settlers of this time.
Unlike Warkentin, Bone describes a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The descriptions he gives about these keystones in history is enough for me to engage in my own
research. This made me question which text is the better to learn from, if a book doesn t create a
want for more, is it a good book? In terms of learning, I much preferred the Warkentin chapter as it
influenced me to dig deeper into the history of topics. What intrigues me about both chapters is
their different takes on what the geography of B.C. should represent. The Bone articles highlight an
economic opportunity in the mining, and extractions of resources, while seemingly bypassing the
history of how British Columbians have gotten to that point. There is a lack of concern for
indigenous population and other small communities in particularly the northern regions which
should be addressed. Bone does a great job of keeping his text simple and effective for easy reading
to catch main points, in my opinion this is where Warkentin has struggled. The detail Warkentin
illustrates in his text is profound yet cumbersome at times. Warkentin s knowledge of the land and
how humans have managed to integrate themselves among it to begin the extraction of the materials

Matterhorn Phenomenon
In the book MatterHorn there are two major settings the navel medicine ship and the monsoon that
the marines slept, fought, and died. In the naval medicine Mellas the main chracter was injured in
the battle for the hill Matterhorn where a grenade hit him resulting in a injured eye. This setting
also shows how Mellas would do anything for his fellow marines. In the setting of the monsoon and
jungle where military bases checkpoints and anti aircraft stations where set and also where many
major battles took place. The two major battles are the Battle for Helicopter Hill and Battle for
MatterHorn which all took in a horrible monsoon that made fighting horrible and conditions of the
soldiers misreable. In the book there are many chracters but some
Essay Of Eating Customs
Eating customs traditions in Great Britain

The usual meals in Great Britain are breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner; or in simplier homes,
breakfast, dinner, tea and supper. Breakfast is generally a bigger meal than you can have it on the
Continent, though some English people like a continental breakfast of rolls and butter and coffee.
But the usual breakfast is porridge or Corn Flakes with milk or cream and sugar, becon and eggs,
marmalade with butter toast, and tea or coffee. For a change you can have a boiled egg, cold ham,
or perhaps fish. Lunch is usually served between twelve and one o clock. The businessman in
London usually finds it impossible to come home for lunch, and so he goes to a café or to a
restaurant, but those who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is clearly that beverage sales are not only an important part of the sales mix of hospitality
establishments but also more profitable than food sales. Coffee is one of the most popular
beverages of the world. It is made from berries grown in tropical climates and shipped to the
country green that is unroasted. The berries produced vary in composition and the treatment after
picking. For this reason, Mocha, Java, Arabica and South American coffees are quite distinct
from each other. There are three main methods of preparing coffee boiling, percolating and drip
method. The coffee should not stand long before serving. Tea is made from the leaves of tea
bush which is indigenous to the Orient. Black tea is made from leaves which are fermented
before drying. Green tea is not fermented; the leaves are steamed and dried. There are two main
ways of serving tea: English tea is served in cups and with milk or cream; Russian tea is served in
glasses with a slice of lemon. Cocoa and chocolate. As beverages made from them are generally
made with milk, they are much more nutritious than the other beverages. Cocoa and chocolate are
made from beans or seeds of trees which grow in tropical countries. Also drinks can be classified
into soft drinks which contain no spirits (such as lemonades, Pepsi, Coke, etc.) and strong ones,
they contain some part of alcohol (such as whisky, gin, wine, liquor, beer). Tea in English is a

Summary Of On Natural Death By Lewis Thomas
On Natural Death
In his essay On Natural Death , research pathologist, medical doctor, and biologist Lewis Thomas
attempts to console the reader about the weighty topic of death by referencing his own observations,
citing scientific facts and statistics, and using the universal fear and unknown of eternal rest.
Thomas first points to the example of the unforeseen death of an elm tree in his own backyard. The
death of an inanimate lifeform is something with which most people are familiar and probably even
comfortable. This first hand experience displays a situation in which death is quick and free of
pain. It also shows how quickly death can tranpire; in this situation, the tree appeared to be in
perfect health just a week before its sudden passing. The story of a dying mouse displays Thomas s
own sorrow at the demise of a fellow mammal and former participant in life. The reader is naturally
brought to empathize with Thomas s sentiments by his use of firsthand emotions and experiences.
Thomas even calls upon the reader to understand the feelings of the mouse itself by describing what
the experience likely felt to the mouse painless to the extent that the mouse is inclined to shrug.
Another of his observations is that of two soldiers unfortunate fatalities after being in a mortal
automobile accident. This example brings the reality of death even closer to the reader, as this time
the it is experienced by human beings not unlike the reader. This situation is akin to that
