Alpha Program Research Paper
The Revamping of the Alpha Program
As a happy and loyal member of Lifetime Fitness, I want what is best for the club and its future in
Centennial, Denver. For the most part, Lifetime Fitness has a section for almost every class it has.
For yoga, they have a yoga studio. For a cycle class, they have the cycle studio. But for the Alpha
program, they do not have a section. The Alpha program is a functional, multi joint movement
based workout that requires pull up bars, barbells, rings, ropes, and plenty of room to do these
activities. Right now, there is an Alpha program but nowhere to do it. The place where they are
currently conducting the Alpha program is upstairs where everyone else is working out. There is
not a specific location. Not to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But as I previously stated, since Lifetime Fitness has room for all of its programs and classes
currently it has nowhere else to put the Alpha program. Not only that but racquet ball is currently free
for all members and the Alpha program is not. The repercussions of losing the last two racquet ball
courts might be losing a couple members. But you will gain more revenue from the members that
will pay to be a part of the Alpha program. On top of that functional fitness such as CrossFit and the
Alpha program are the fastest growing fitness trends at the moment: if Lifetime Fitness does not get
on this bus now, they might be left in the dust.
By moving the Alpha program to the last two racquet ball courts Lifetime Fitness has everything
to gain. It will take the current problems with the program and terminate all of them. It will give
the right amount space and the proper equipment for the members and the coaches to excel. Plus, I
have seen this work first hand in Japan. This will help bring awareness to the program, which in
return will gain the program more members. The downside is that it will take away from the
racquet ball players but what you lose there you will gain in revenue from the new and improved

The Teachings and Influence of Bill Gothard
Introduction:
Influencing hundreds of thousands of people over the span of fifty years, Bill Gothard has become
an icon of Christian counseling in the United States and in the world at large. His work in
determining the basic conflicts in the hearts of people and his devotion to creating a Bible based
community and curriculum for homeschooling families has made him a powerful leader in the realm
of Christian counseling and teaching and has endeared him to many. His counseling style has
affected thousands of preachers and teachers who follow his methods, and so it is important to
understand the principles behind Gothard s doctrines. To fully understand Gothard s teachings, one
must first understand the world of psychological counseling. According to the American Counseling
Association, counselors help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause
emotional turmoil... In essence counseling helps people understand their problems and gives them
tools to deal with these issues. Although the goal of counseling remains the same across the board,
the beliefs and presuppositions of individual counselors affect the methods and techniques they
implement in their counseling. For the secular psychological counselor, the focus is ego centric.
The goal of counseling is to give the client a better life and a happier outlook on life so that he can
achieve even greater things for himself. For the Christian, the goal of counseling is to bring the
client into a closer
Sharpville Massacre
Kekeletso Mphuthi
Human Rights Day (21 March, the date of the Sharpeville Massacre in 1960)
During the Apartheid era in South Africa, black people were oppressed beyond humane standards.
They were deprived of racial equality with the whites. Also, they were exploited off from their land.
Furthermore, they were restricted from certain privileges. All this caused retaliation by the blacks
both politically and socially, and the eventual result was the Sharpeville Massacre.
The Sharpeville massacre was a haunting historical response by black people against the Apartheid
oppression. For almost fifty years black South Africans had strived for their struggle against
oppression and exploitation with the greatest patience. They had put their ... Show more content on

Then on March 21, 1960, the people of Sharpeville began to move up Seiso Street toward the
police station at the top end of the township. It was said that the Congress leaders wanted
everyone to go there and get them arrested for not carrying their passes. People crowded around
the high security fence and were chanting and singing. On the other side of the fence were armed
policemen lined up and ready to shoot and to the sides of the crowd were two rock hard cars
equipped with machine guns. People arrived in masses with only faith at hand. At exactly 1:50
P.M. there was uproar at the right side of the gate, it seemed as though a fat woman had been
bumped by a police car as it tried to drive through the gate. Immediately after this there were
chattering noises within the crowd. The police started shooting at crowd. People were being shot
in the head. A survivor of this tragic day, Michael Zondo, a school teacher, recalls seeing brains
flying everywhere in front of him, skulls bursting wide open. The crowd spread quickly and people
began running in a panic. It was a moment of total chaos.
Suddenly it was all over, 69 deaths and 180 sufferers, later the Sharpeville Massacre had come to
an end. There is no memorial to the Sharpeville Massacre as there is to the women and children
who died in the Boer concentration camps, but it holds the same symbolic place in the pilgrimage of

1. Introduction
The aim of this study is to examine whether family conflicts affect child social development.
According to one of the famous studies done by Albert Bandura, it shows that when adult acts
violently towards the Bobo doll, the child will imitate the behavior according to what he observed,
this is known as observational learning. (Bandura, 1977). This theory can apply on parent child
relationship. Family conflicts will affect the child s psychological and physical wellbeing. Five ...

The study shows that parental conflicts will pose a threat to the emotional security of children that
will further affect their internalizing and externalizing skills. (Grych, Harold Miles, 2003)
Study 5 suggests that parents play a significant role in helping children to internalize beliefs, values,
and behaviors of the larger society. Parental discord, divorce, and remarriage have been shown to
experience a variety of adverse psychological outcomes. (Harold, Aitken Shelton, 2007)

A person s diet is not a cause for developing Crohn s disease, however it has to be adjusted to ease
the complications. Diet needs to be adjusted accordingly because it may aggravate the infected
area and often symptoms flare up. There was a study done on ulcerative colitis and how diet may
be correlated with its reoccurrences. It discovered [a] high meat, protein, or alcohol intake is
associated with an increased risk of relapse which may well occur because these foods are rich
sources of sulphur and sulphate (dietary factors) Further research is still being done with this
Exemplary Post 24 Points

Exemplary Original Post 24 points: This is a wonderful post. Not only did you address all the
discussion prompt questions but the Original Post was well organized and had rich detail. I
especially liked Its known that many pharaohs and high ranking officials would sometime have their
servants depicted in some form of image or sculpture so that when they went to the afterlife they
would able to utilize their skills to help them in their second life . This post shows that you
understand the material and can synthesize the information well. I will caution against something
like the Seated Scribe was royal as this might be a bit of a stretch. He would most certainly be part
of the government working under the king or visar of Egypt, but be a scribe would not be a
typical job for a royal. There could be many reasons he was shown in this position. Also, given that
there is a lot more information to confirm he was indeed a script and, therefore, an important part
of the government over being a royal. Also, I would like to see more of the post in your words
instead of quotes, since I want to see how you would state something and your thoughts.
