1. SKY-TRAINS (Tàu điện trên không)
Topic 25: Nowadays, traffic congestion is one of the most serious problems in big cities and it has made
people’s lives more difficult at work and in daily life. Many people think that there is a good way to solve
traffic jam by building sky trains in big cities.
Write an essay to present advantages as well as disadvantages of this way.
In today's society, traffic jam is one of the most severe matters in major cities. It affects a lot of individuals at
work and in their daily lives. A great number of people believe that building sky trains is a great method to
resolve traffic congestion. From my point of view, the benefits of this matter will outweigh its drawbacks. This
essay will discuss both the advantages and disadvantages of sky-trains.
On the one hand, people should recognize that there are several benefits to this issue. The first benefit is that
sky trains can reduce the traffic congestion in big cities effectively. It is clear that sky-trains have their own
routes and do not affect other vehicles on the ground. Besides, this transportation can contain a lot of
passengers compared to other vehicles like cars, motorbikes, or buses. Therefore, if more people use sky-trains,
it can decrease the private transport on the road and reduce traffic jams. Another benefit is environmentally
friendly. It is true that the sky train is a modern means of transportation, so it uses electricity to operate instead
of gasoline and does not release toxic emissions into the air.
On the other hand, besides important advantages, this issue still has some specific disadvantages. The most
serious drawback is that the initial cost to build a sky-train is very high. It means that the government has to
invest in the new infrastructure for this system including rail and stations. This is also the reason why only
developed countries can build sky trains and developing nations can not afford this means of transport. Another
drawback is that the sky train is not suitable for everyone. To give an idea, only young people can use it for
their work and in daily life, the elderly and children can not use it easily at the beginning. Therefore, it can take
a long time for those people to be familiar with and adapt to using sky-train regularly.
The above information shows both benefits and drawbacks of homeschooling. We should take advantage of the
pros and minimize the cons. People should have further consideration on this issue.

Topic 22: Computers enable us to save a large amount of information and data in a small space.
Many people think that using computers help learners get easier but others propose that it can have a lot
of negative impacts on study.
Write an essay to reveal some effects and your opinions about this problem.
Nowadays, computers help people to save a great deal of information and materials in a small space. While
some individuals think that utilizing computers can make the learning process easier, others argue that it can
have many negative outcomes on study. The topic has become popular in the community. This essay will
discuss some impacts and my opinions on this issue.
People should recognize that there are many effects of using computers on the study. The most serious effect is
that using computers for a long time can cause addiction. This means that nowadays, young people spend most
of their time using computers for both entertainment and studying. Therefore, if they can not control their
behaviors well, they can be addicted to this tool. For example, many students like surfing TikTok or Facebook
after school hours instead of doing homework or reading books to enrich their knowledge. Another effect is that
students will depend too much on the computers. For instance, if learners do not know how to solve a Math
homework, they will immediately look for the answer on computers and not handle it by themselves.
However, from my point of view, I strongly believe that this issue still has some positive impacts. The first
benefit is that the computer is a great tool for storing important documents in both study and daily life. It is
clear that students have to take note of much information and knowledge every day. Therefore, if they have a
personal computer, it can help the learners save these materials in a small space instead of in the traditional
notebooks. Besides, people also access the materials easily anywhere and anytime. The second benefit is that
computers help learners find information quickly. If the computer connects to the Internet, students can look for
a great amount of online knowledge and information to support their studies.
In conclusion, the above information shows both the effects and my perspective on this issue. We can look into
these effects to figure out suitable solutions. People should have further consideration on this issue.

2. PRIVATE VEHICLES (Phương tiện cá nhân)
Topic 30: Nowadays, private vehicles are the most popular mode of transport; so many people are
fond of using their own private vehicles by its convenience rather than public transport. However,
others think using too much private transport could cause some negative impacts to natural environment
and people’s health. Write an essay to present impacts and your opinions for this issue.
Nowadays, personal transportation is the most popular choice for everyone because of its convenience.
However, many individuals believe that overusing private transport can cause several detrimental effects on the
environment and human health. The topic has become popular in the community. This essay will discuss some
impacts and my opinions on this issue.
People should recognize that there are many effects of using private vehicles. The most serious effect is that
using personal cars or motorbikes can trigger traffic congestion. This means that in rush hours if there are great
numbers of cars and motorbikes circulating at the same time on the roads, the traffic jam definitely will happen.
For example, in big cities like Ho Chi Minh or Ha Noi, the citizens have to suffer stuck in traffic for 1 to 2
hours every day. Another effect is the negative impact on the environment. It is clear that most private vehicles
run on gasoline and release a large amount of toxic emissions into the air like CO or CO2. This is the main
reason for air pollution and affects the human health seriously.
However, from my point of view, I strongly believe that this issue still has some positive impacts. The first
benefit is that using personal cars and motorbikes helps us save a lot of time. It is clear that we don’t need to
wait for public transportation like buses or trains. Moreover, it is also easy if we want to change the plan and
move to other places. The second benefit is that we will have privacy if we utilize personal cars. This means
that do not have to share the space with any strangers. We also can enjoy anything we like during the journey
like reading books, listening to music, or taking a nap.
In conclusion, the above information shows both the effects and my perspective on this issue. We can look
into these effects to figure out suitable solutions. People should have further consideration on this issue.
