Texting And Driving Distraction Essay
Distractions Driving is a limited freedom that should always be done in a safe manner in order
for everyone to be safe. Problems with young drivers can cause many people to lose their safety,
which can ultimately lead those young drivers to lose their license. Driving while distracted is
definitely one of the leading causes for problems, such as crashes, for the young people who are
just beginning to drive. There is an uncountable amount of distractions that cause problems for
young drivers. In 2013, about ten percent of all fatal crashes with drivers between the ages of
fifteen and nineteen were due to a distracted driver ( Texting and Driving). A phone is probably one
of the greatest distractions for a young driver. The phone could easily be the single greatest
distraction for young drivers because of its many uses. It has many qualities that create distractions,
and many of them require the person driving to look at the phone to operate it. The phone has
many distracting qualities that create problems for drivers. There are many different aspects of the
phone that cause problems for teen drivers. Playing music can be one of the greatest distractions for
young drivers. Young drivers will often disregard simple understandings of driving safety by
constantly looking down at their phone to play... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the most widely known distractions during driving that that is related to the phone is
texting. Texting while driving is a serious and possibly fatal mistake. There are many stories of
people who wish they never took that second to look at their phone to send or read a text
message. No one wants to be a part of a crash; especially one where someone caused a fatality
because they were involved in texting while driving. Texting can wait. No one should ever have
their life taken from them because a driver wanted to send or read a text. Messaging is a serious
problem that inhibits drivers of all
The Eloquent Peasant
The Eloquent Peasant illustrates the key, reoccurring theme found in Egypt s pessimistic literature
in a unique and specific way. Commonly found in this kind of literature is the idea of the world
being flipped upside down , where the gods do not listen to the people and the rich suffer while the
poor rule. Rather than be present throughout Egypt, the stress in relationships with the gods on
having a personal bond that people needed to strive for and had responsibility over to have a good
afterlife. While the setting of the Peasant is not as intensely graphic as the bloodied and corpse
filled Nile as illustrated in The Admonitions of Ipuwer, the entropy of Ma at not being fulfilled by
the elites of society still showed a kind of chaos and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, both The Instruction of Amenemhat and The Tale of Sinuhe describe the
unexpected assassination of King Amenemhat I (also known as Sehetepibre) (Lichtheim, 1973:
137; 223). It may have been the case that Sinuhe s plot device is based off of a propagandistic
instruction s fabricated story of a pharaoh s murder. However, this is most likely not the case,
since it would be odd for an author of an instruction rather than a literary tale, where the status quo
may be challenged to create a false scenario where the pharaoh is murdered. That being said, it
could very well be the case that the Peasant draws from the troubles happening in the real world
just as Sinuhe did. During this time, the elite may have commonly stolen from the poor enough
times for this tale to be written. Shupak provides evidence supporting this by finding similarities
between the legal case of the story to other legal documents and texts from Rekhmire s and
Haremhab s reigns (Shupak, 1992: 4 5). Using this social issue as the main theme of the story, other
parts may be exaggerated, such as the king s dismissive and indirectly cruel behavior. Leprohon
notes that the believability and effectiveness of the story depends on the credibility of its main
character , so the author must have had had to find a balance between the fantastical and realistic
elements (Leprohon,
Events Of Industrialization
The many influential events that occurred between between 1750 and 1900 have undoubtedly
impacted the modern world. Some of the most significant events include revolutions and reform in
the Atlantic world, Industrialization and Global Integration, and Imperialism over colonies.
Deciding which one of these processes or events has affected the modern era is not a simple
decision due to the fact that all of the previously mentioned events have played crucial roles in
developing and creating the modern world. For example, revolutions gave birth to modern nations
such as France, the United Statesand Haiti. Industrialization kick started the growth of countless
industries including textiles, agriculture and rail. Imperialism created and aided global... Show more

Imperialism can be found when describing the colonization of Africa, Asia and The Americas
specifically. Key imperialistic nations include Great Britain, France and Japan as these nations were
notorious for colonizing and influencing foreign regions. The reason Imperialism and Nation State
building are not as important as Industrialization is because Imperialism was simply between two
parties: the colonizers and those being colonized. Although it is possible to claim that the process of
Imperialism had a positive global impact, it is not necessarily true. For example, many colonies such
as the United States and Haiti rebelled against their European colonizers and gained independence
from these nations with conflict and combat. Ultimately this resulted in the loss of life in the
thousands and destruction of entire cities. Imperialism has never worked out as almost every colony
under imperialist rule is now an independent nation. The influence put on by the colonizers onto the
colonized generally ended in a poor fashion. For example, Indian citizens who were not content with
the British rule did not wear foreign clothing and embraced local clothing and arts. Even though
Imperialism was without a doubt an important process from 1750 1900, it did not have the same
global effect and power that Industrialization

Virgin and Child Enthroned
The Giotto and Cimabue are obviously different versions of the Virgin and Child Enthroned. But
because they are different versions they have their differences. When i first look at the Cimabue
piece the first thing i focus my eyes on is the sweet, tender, loving face the Virgin has on her
warm yellow face. Her eyes are looking outward towards the audience which i feel helps you feel
like you are part of the enthroning. Giotto depicted the Virgins face with a little bit more of a
stern look to it. Its not as soft as the one in Giotto. Also the colors are much more cooler so when i
look at Giotto s piece i look at the creamy colors like her shirt first instead of ... Show more content

that these angels were more important for the virgin than the men holding scripts.

2. Pontormo
Entombment
The Weyden and Pontormo paintings both are trying to depict a similar story in different styles.
In Weyden s piece the first thing you notice different from the Pontormo is the colors. In Weyden
s piece the colors pop right out you since he used harsh bright colors for their clothing. Unlike
Pontormo where he used very soft angelic colors like the pink and light blue and peachy colors.
My eyes are attracted to the Weyden more than Pontormo even if its older because it looks so
much more realistic than Pontormo. The drapery in Weyden s piece is very realistic as it falls on
the bodies of each human standing or falling. The shadows of the drape make them look real as if
you can pick them up directly from the painting. In Pontormo the drapery is more of a flowing
feel to it. You can tell where it sits but it isn t as realistic and looks as if they were angels helping
God up.
In the Weyden piece the emotions are very upfront. They seem very upset at the sight of God
sacrifice. There is a women who looks as she has fainted and two people caught her ash she fell.
Her arm is almost in the same angle as God s arm is as they bring him down. This might have been
purposely done to somehow symbolize that they

SWOT Analysis
SWOT Analysis is a useful technique for understanding a company s strengths (S), weakness (W),
opportunities (O) and threats (T). Environmental factors internal to the firm usually can be classified
as strengths or weakness, and those external to the firm can be classified as opportunities or threats.
SWOT analysis can help firm uncover opportunities that are well placed to exploit. And by
understanding the weaknesses of the business, firm can manage and eliminate threats that would
otherwise catch it unawares. Furthermore, firm can start to craft a strategy that helps it distinguish
itself from the competitors, so that the firm can compete successfully in the market.

Threats include changing customer needs, changes in government regulations and changes in
economics of the country.
Coca Cola is getting indirect competition such as Starbucks and Dunkin Brands Group which do
not compete directly with Coca Cola. These businesses do place a dent in the company s market
share. These chains offer a healthy competition to Coca Cola s carbonated drinks. They might not
be a big competition for Coke, but they do give a dent to its beverage market.
There are changes in consumer preference in the society. Societies tend to be healthier; therefore,
they focus on drinking health beverages. People are changing their attitudes and keep their mind on
consuming health drinks in order to avoid diseases like obesity and diabetes. Many companies have
tried to invent a great variety of innovative drinks as it s a trend of consuming healthy drink
nowadays.
Water scarcity is a major threat to Coca Cola Company. When the water scarcity is on the rise,
with the climate changing and regions of various countries facing scarcity of water, sooner
someone might raise fingers on beverage companies. If the water is limited, Coca Cola can
experience a major downfall in their revenue and capacity of
Jekyll And Mr Hyde Identity
Robert Louis Stevenson s The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a classic tale that
emulates a human s struggle with identity and the forces that govern it. Jekyll is overcome by
societal pressures including society itself, personal wants, and strength of will; unable to resist
temptation, he finds himself pushed into the arms of his alternate personality: Mr. Hyde. Bogged
down by behavioral regulations imposed on him by his predecessors, Jekyll created Hyde as a way
to express eccentricities labelled taboo by the harsh ideals of Victorian society. From childhood,
Jekyll spiraled into a habit of confining himself, only revealing his conventional identity to the
public, and hiding the darkness and morbidity that lay dormant in his... Show more content on

Hyde was the embodiment of all of Dr. Jekyll s wants; he was a vessel with which Jekyll could act
on the evil and immorality that were the true expression of his personality. The wants that had
been suppressed for the majority of his life bubbled to the surface upon his discovery of the
draught that transformed not only his appearance, but also his state of mind into that of Hyde.
Hyde became the morphine that relieved Jekyll of the pain of imperfection and gave him the
ability to release all of his inhibitions and perform the brutal acts he had dreamed of. While society
saw a brute and a monster, in Jekyll s eyes, Hyde was the manifesto of his wishes and dreams.
This is why when Jekyll caught his first glance of his alter ego, he saw only the personification of
everything he had craved for so long: ¨And yet when I looked upon that ugly idol in the glass, I
was conscious of no repugnance, rather a leap of welcome. This, too, was myself. It seemed
natural and human. In my eyes it bore a livelier image of the spirit, it seemed more express and

irresistible; Hyde was a tool with which he could achieve that which was deemed immoral and act
on his most violent fantasies. Hyde was less of an addiction to Jekyll, it was more so the high of
getting what he had always wanted that urged him to carry on with his double
Emotional Intelligence in Homeland Security
Emotional Intelligence in Homeland Security

Robert Frost once wrote, Something we were withholding made us weak, until we found out that it
was ourselves. In the business world, professionals are told to leave their emotional baggage at the
door, and this emotional plug can eventually lead to personal consequences. The very thing that
Robert Frost says we withhold is our heart. Our hearts and the workings of our feelings create an
important type of intelligence: an emotional intelligence. It is this very intelligence that motivates us
to accomplish our goals, desires, and tasks. This gives us a more purposeful path to follow, and it
transforms our thoughts and actions from what we think about into how we carry out our lives.
Emotions can be very powerful, and in Latin, emotions are described as motus anima, which literally
means, the spirit that moves us (Cherniss, 2000).
The interesting fact of emotional intelligence can be directly tied to the success of any career.
Interpersonal relationships, communication clarification, and employment satisfaction are only a
few of the benefits which can come from its controlled use in the workplace. When being linked with
leaders, emotional intelligence can be the distinguishing factor between great leadership and average
leaders. Within this research paper, emotional intelligence will be examined from the use of 12
research journals. The origin of the concept, definition of the term, areas of the foundations, innate
prospects,
