Computer Viruses And The Computing Environment
Over many years most computer users have been familiar with computer viruses and other major
threats to the computing environments. Even individuals who don t know much about computers
has seem a common computer virus or learn about a computer threat through friends, family and
even TV shows such as Mr. Robot. Also, the news and other information sources has covered threats
related to computer threats to harm folks. Like when Target and Sony was hacked in recent years
and the hackers was about to acquire people information and steal money. There is no hesitation that
companies and our culture is very concerned of the potential risk of these threats and computers
viruses taking a huge toll on the computer environment.
This paper aims to survey current threats and virus of today s current threats to the computing
environment. Also, ideally to discuss the types of computer viruses and explore new and current
popular computer virus and threats.
Even those that are very familiar with computing often have issue and are very unclear with terms
which are related with computer virus, worms, Trojan horse, malware, botnets, DDoS, hackers,
pharming, phishing, ransomware, and spoofing. One reason why it is hard for people to
understand the terms is that it is impossible to say in all given circumstances if a given program is
malicious or not. Even when it comes to threats to big companies such as hackers cause sometimes
developers would miss or might not create a security feature to
Fractional Distillation Lab Report
Fractional Distillation of Esters
Introduction
Fractional Distillation is a method used for the separation of mixtures by each of the components.
This method separates mixtures with pure substances of similar boiling points by heating the
mixture and trapping the vapor in a condenser after it passes through the fractioning column. This
ensures that the substance being condensed is fully separated from the mixture (Holmquist, 2007).
This experiment studied the fractional distillation of a butyl acetate and ethyl acetate mixture and
analyzed the fractions obtained at different temperature levels. Specifically, this experiment sought to
analyze the retention times and peak areas of ethyl and butyl acetate in each fraction and compare

Once each fraction was collected, it was immediately transferred to a flask, which was sealed with
sealing tape and ParaFilm. After all of the fractions were collected, the flasks were placed in a larger
graduated cylinder to prevent evaporation. The graduated cylinder was stored for one week before
analysis (Holmquist, 2007).
Part II
Goggles, a small glass syringe, and a LabQuest were all obtained, along with the fractional vials and
containers of an ethyl acetate/butyl acetate mixture, acetone to prepare the syringe, and pure ethyl
and butyl acetate respectively. The LabQuest was attached to a Vernier Mini GC and turned on.
Before the analysis began, the Temperature Pressure profile was set according to the parameters
below.
Start Temperature40°C
Hold Time1min
Ramp Temp10°C/min
Final Temperature 65°C

Total Length8.5min

Done was then selected so the Vernier Mini GC could begin warming up. Nothing was injected
until the screen read Inject and select Collect Simultaneously (Holmquist, 2007). While the Vernier
was warming up, the syringe was prepared and flushed with acetone. This was accomplished by
depressing the plunger fully, filling it about one third of the way with acetone, and expelling the
liquid onto a KimWipe. This process was done about three times to ensure that the syringe was
clean. This same process was also done with ethyl acetate before it was injected. After preparing
Reaping A Grant
An organization that suffers from a lack funds during or from a recession, expansion, or
reconstruction have the option as proposing a grant. If the grant is approved then funds will be
allotted the group, however reaping the rewards from a grant is a easier than the proposal it s self.
The purpose for the grant basically states the problem, which in most cases is a currency deficiency.
An organization should create an elaborate plan expressing the problems and goals and how would
the grant be significant enough to resolve the issues. Therefore, prior to writing a grant proposalthere

Commitment to the organization s grant proposal includes resources or services that could be
offered from the organization. This type of commitment displays wiliness and cooperation that
concerns the dedication to the purpose or mission that is presented by the organization.
Comprehensive programs evaluation that consist of monthly or quarterly reports, budget oversight,
and internal auditing apparently are necessary to successfully gain knowledge the productivity of the
organization. The bases of a compelling case are the organization s ability to demonstrate that it s
purpose coincides with parameters described within the grant proposal. Competition is not to be

The Impact of Offshoring on the U.S. Economy
Off shoring is the establishment of business operations outside national boundaries. The process of
moving business outside these boundaries is to garner an advantage either through tax breaks, lower
wages, lower transportation cost and/or relaxed regulations ( Offshore definition, 2014). Many firms
either branch out as a horizontal multinational or vertical multinational. Horizontal multinational s
produce the same good or services as abroad. This foreign direct investment (FDI) is done to
strategically place production closer to the target market. Doing this provides advantages
surrounding transportation cost while enhancing learning associated with local needs. A vertical
multinational is one that fragments a portion of its... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Multinational Corporations . The analysis will evaluate factors motivating firms to move off shore
and the associated impact on the U.S. work force. The three measures that will be discussed are 1)
value added (i.e. the measure of capital and labor gain at a given production stage), 2) capital
expenditures (i.e. land, buildings and equipment), and 3) employment (i.e. number of jobs lost
/created). The paper will conclude with a discussion of outcomes between 1977 2003 using data
supplied by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
Assessment
Economic integration aims to reduce cost and increase value for both producers and consumers.
This is accomplished by increased international trade for goods and services. Economic
integration has expanded markets by which firms can play . Firms are more self serving, their
motive is to reduce cost and increase profits. To do this firms have begun to off shore their
operations. Off shoring allows a firm to lower cost and establish a presence closer to target markets.
This process has become easier with technology advances. For example, information can be shared
and transactions made with the click of a button. International borders are easy transcended with
expansive transportation networks. This facilitates product movement and placement of resources,
supporting just in time (JIT) manufacturing. Critics of this believe overall economic well being is
affected when companies off shore, since jobs and
The Murder Of Duncan In William Shakespeare s Macbeth
At the start of the play, Duncan was ruling and everything was in order. Any uprising or problem
was dealt with quickly, and peace was restored. Nature was fine, and there were no anomalies. The
people loved Duncan, and he loved them. Throughout scotland, there was prosperity. Everyone had
plenty of food and water, and starvation wasn t a problem. Duncan was a ruler who kept everything
in sync with each other. Duncan was also very trustworthy towards everyone, but that would lead to
his demise. Once Duncan was murdered, everything was starting to become chaos. Owls were
attacking hawks, horses were attacking each other, and the sun didn t rise the next morning. Soon
after, Macbethwas crowned king but it only got worse from there.
The Enduring Love Play Analysis
THE LAND ABOVE presents as a historical character driven drama. The script offers an excellent
main protagonist, whose life story is both dramatic and fascinating, thus providing a great potential
for an interesting biopic.
The story also provides some memorable combat scenes and shows a strong potential for compelling
visual portrayal.

Nevertheless, the overall dramatic premise with George Washington trying to demythologize himself
has room for more development in the areas of the structure and pace, as well as further character
development.
Unfortunately, the main plot is distracted by a multitude of subplots, characters, and events many
more than feels manageable within a feature film. As result, the overall pacing of the story often ...

Clarify what is the main theme/morale of the story. What is the lesson to be learnt by the character?
Depending on the definition of the focus in character s journey, the structure should reflect the
change he is about to undergo. For example, if Washington is to change from naïve boy into
independent man (who will place a significant role in creation of independent country) he needs to
learn the truth about political ambitions of the English, starting at perceiving them as allies in the
beginning and continue to show their true colors as the story progresses. As things stand, the English
seem to behave the same way throughout the story without a change.
The current script version suggests the story is to explain how the legend about the 1st US
president came to be and his own attempt to demythologize his own story. The story would need to
provide more clues as to what is the motivation behind this, as well as more information for audience
to compare the reality with fabrication of his imagination.
The first words the hero says should preferably be related to this main
Self-Discovery In The Film Pleasantville
Often times individuals have a difficult time discovering who they are. Many are uncertain on
who they truly are. It often takes lots of time or even a sudden change in their lives to accomplish
this task of self discovery. Gary Ross, director and writer of the film Pleasantville, demonstrates
that an individual may need to learn to adapt to unfamiliar environments to help guide themselves
to discover who they are. Ross uses the character Jennifer, to demonstrate that even the most
rebellious individual can change and figure out their true purpose. Garry Ross suggests that it
often takes a sudden change in one s lives to help guide them on their journey to discover who
they truly are. Initially, the character, Jennifer is seen as a self absorbed, extrovert who only cares
about herself and reputation. The director shows the first scene of Jennifer outside the school,
head up, smoking as if all eyes are on her. A few moments later we see a young man approach
Jennifer and her friends. Jennifer quickly invites him over to her house that night since [her]
mom is out of town . It is first said that the boy is coming over to study, but it is soon revealed that
that is not the case because of the Jennifers laid out lingerie. These scenes show us a glance of
Jennifer s character. She is not concerned about school at all but only with having sex and seeming
cool. After breaking the TV remote over a fight with her twin brother David. A strange old man

Domestic Violence Analysis
Safety is a powerful word. It is a word that can be described as the mental emotion of being in a
state of protection. This protection is most commonly provided by a significant other, or a place
where you feel warmth and a sense of security. This place is most commonly called home.
However, this is not always the case. Over half a million Australian women reported that they had
experienced physical or sexual violence in the past 12 months. While this is a substantial amount,
reports reveal that one in three domestic violence victims are male. This proves that there is a
possibility of every one of us being at risk of experiencing domestic violence. Being in a first world
country, we often convince ourselves that our problems are irrelevant... Show more content on

Working in domestic violence, Dennis has focused on the effects of domestic abuse and the way it
impacts the workplace and those around the victim. I have worked to educate business leaders and
others to understand that domestic violence is not just a personal matter in which we should not be
involved; rather it has a profound impact on our ability to get out jobs done, and everyone needs to
see it exists, name it for what it is, and respond appropriately when it occurs . With this statement we
can be assured that Dennis, as a member of the Catholic religion that he believes that everyone needs
to be educated and acknowledge the effects of domestic abuse.
With this in mind Dennis is questioned on what he wishes in regards to how the Catholic Church
should react in response to domestic violence, this was his response. Pastors, priests and Catholic
leaders speak out on this important issue on a regular and continuing basis. Dennis gives suggestions
such as incorporating programs in Catholic schools, this ensures youth to be educated to recognize
the signs of abuse in relationships. This will help their fellow students, parishioners and themselves
to respond appropriately to assure the safety of the victim in a way that is consistent to the Catholic
My Future Career Of Becoming An Elementary Teacher Essay
A Before this course, when I thought about diversity I would think about race almost exclusively.
Through our class discussions and book assignments I have learned that diversity covers many
more topics. This will help me greatly in my ideal future career of becoming an elementary
teacher. Reading is such an important skill for children. Books teach so many different things.
Like in one of the TED talks we watched, the speaker talked about only having books that
portrayed white children. She felt like she couldn t connect to the books. She also found that people
in America believed that she lived with extremely low income when she lived in Africa. This may
not have to do completely with books but there are not many books that show stories like her own.
One of the articles that I read for a reading assignment, Why Diversity in Children s Literature
Really Matters by Jacob Hood, talked about a boy who was not white. He really loved adventure
books but felt like people of his color couldn t be adventurous because all the people in the
adventure books were white. Children have so many questions and are creating their future selves. If
these kids are accustomed to many different diversities, not only race but also gender, family
structure, socioeconomic status, religion, age, sexual orientation, mental illness, and many more
topics, are less likely to other and stereotype people. Books that show diversity in many different
ways help children feel like they can fit in and

I rolled the cheap rental fabric of the sleeve between my fingers before walking to my dresser and

Technology, Abstraction and Ideas of Nature
Coming to terms with modern architecture, we must read through such seminal statements through
their sensibilities and societal myths which they exemplify. Now, we shall explore parallel themes to
do with new myths of modernity, poetic expressions of technology, the reemergence of abstraction,
and analogies between architecture and other realms such as minimalist sculpture, landscape art and
nature. Architecture oscillates between the unique and the typical where the old and new may
reunite in unexpected ways. Example, the Navarro Baldeweg s Congress Hall in Salamanca which
underlines the complexity of ideas, fantasies, memories and aspirations that may operate in a single
function. If this interconnections work on the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Part from his exchange with painters, sculptors and conceptual artists, part from his direct
engagement with ordinary techniques of construction in which he found extraordinary
possibilities of expression. Spiller House in Vernice, California (1979) in which angled planes
and tilting volumes introduced visual tension and ambiguities while materials, as found, were
handled in a deliberately casual way which exposed the process of assembly. Another route
towards fragmentation and abstraction lay through the works of neo modernist such as Richard
Meier and Bernard Tschumi. Richard Meier established a signature style that was characterized
by layers of wall planes and transparencies, fractured structural grids, interpenetrating ramps and
space of vying luminosity. All these devices were all on display in the Museum für
Kunsthandwerk in Frankfurt (1981 5). The Parc de La Villete (1984 9) by Bernard Tschumi
revealed another aspect of the neo modernist stance. His basic strategy of co ordinates, sinuous
lines and boundaries suggested a latter day version of Kadinsky s elements of abstract painting or
perhaps the score for an avant garde film in which the same shot pieces were repeated in different
montages. The site recalled past mechanistic fantasies such as Tchernikov s sketches of around

Analysis Of The Film Chocolat
The foreign film that I chose to review was Chocolat, which was released in 2000 and was
directed by Lasse Hallström. This film followed the story of Vianne Rocher (Juliette Binoche) and
her young daughter Anouk (Victoire Thivisol), set in France about fifteen years after World War 2.
They wandered around Europe, guided by the north wind, and they come across a small village.
There, they opened up La Chocolaterie Maya, a chocolatier. The mayor, Comte de Reyaud
(Alfred Molina) was very displeased with this since the town was steeped in strict tradition and
was just starting to observe Lent. Her chocolate began to change the lives of everyone in the town,
broke down barriers, renewed marriages, and freed people. The film ended with Vianne and her
daughter settling down in the town for the first time, instead of moving on with the north wind and
the town was changed forever. This film was based in France and the majority of the film was shot
in the village of Flavigny sur Ozerain in Burgundy, France. The language that was spoken in the film
was English with a strong French accent. There were some French words throughout the film and all
the names such as the people, the village, and the businesses were French.
There were several messages that the filmmakers were trying to communicate. One of these
messages was that stereotypes are not always correct. According to the book, Communication
Between Cultures, when people are confronted with a lack of familiarity or similarity, they
