It is very common to see people only concerned about the things of this life, they are only

worried on how to get more money, to have some properties, they project themselves to
grow professionally, to live new experiences or to know new places. However, this life is so
short and so fragile, even today you could die. I know I sound pessimistic but I want to
wake you up to the reality of this cruel and evil world. Every day we see deaths and
tragedies in the news, this same reality can be seen in hospitals and cemeteries. Have you
ever thought about what will happen to your soul after you die, where will it go?

Although many people are deniers of the eternal existence of the soul, this is a concept that
many civilizations and cultures have handled in one way or another and the reason for this
is that God our creator put in our soul that knowledge that it will exist eternally and that
there is something more than this life. God in his holy word the Bible tells us

Ecclesiastes 3:11- He has made everything beautiful in its time, and has put eternity in their
hearts, so that no man can understand the work that God has done from beginning to end.

So the most important thing is where you are going to spend eternity, in a state of eternal
death, which is the same as hell, or in a state of eternal life. For many people the most
important thing is the here and now, they put all their effort into the tangible, however God
tells us

Matthew 16:26 - For what will it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his
own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Luke 12:16-21 - And He told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man was very
productive. 17 And he began reasoning to himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no
place to store my crops?’ 18 Then he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns
and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I will say to
my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat,
drink and be merry.”’ 20 But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night [a]your soul is
required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?’ 21 So is the man
who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
Everything that you enjoy in this world, the food, your family, nature, and everything that
your eyes see belongs to Christ and his mercy encompasses all human beings as long as
their body lives, no matter if they are a criminal or a priest.

James 1:17 - Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the
Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

Ecclesiastes 9:2-3 - It is the same for all. There is one fate for the righteous and for the
wicked; for the good, for the clean and for the unclean; for the man who offers a sacrifice
and for the one who does not sacrifice. As the good man is, so is the sinner; as the swearer
is, so is the one who [a]is afraid to swear. 3 This is an evil in all that is done under the sun,
that there is one fate for all men. Furthermore, the hearts of the sons of men are full of evil
and insanity is in their hearts throughout their lives. Afterwards they go to the dead.

All this that we see is very ephemeral, the things that you have worked so hard for could
disappear or be lost very easily for any reason.

James 4:13-14 - Come now! You who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such
a city, and stay there a year, and trade and make money'; 14 when you do not know what
tomorrow will bring. For what is your life? It is a mist that appears for a little while and
then vanishes away.

When people die, they have already sealed the eternal destiny of their soul and nothing can
be done. If they were not saved during their life, they will inevitably go to hell, which is a
horrible destiny of eternal torment. Usually, when someone dies, people use phrases such as
"rest in peace," "departed to eternal rest," However, the biblical reality is very different; the
great majority of people die and go to eternal torment.
Matthew 7:13-14 - Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road
that leads to destruction, and many are entering through it. For small is the gate and difficult
is the road that leads to life, and few are finding it.

John 10:9 - I am the door; by me he that entereth shall be saved; and he

shall go in and out, and find pasture.

John 14:6 - Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me.

Acts 4:11-12 - This Jesus is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has
become the chief cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other
name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

And even of those who know the door that is Christ, the great majority have not entered due
to their unbelief, because they depend on themselves, on their works, on their behavioral
change, on a supposed life of holiness, on performing rituals such as being baptized and
faithfully attending religious services, etc.

Luke 13:24 - Strive to enter through the narrow gate; for many, I say to you, will seek to
enter and will not be able.

So not all people who identify themselves as Christians are saved, unfortunately many are
religious people whose souls are also condemned to hell, full of hypocrisy, self-
righteousness, who believe that they are better than others. And they make others think that
someone who behaves well, who lived a quiet life who did not kill anyone, was a good
husband or a hard-working person or was good with animals or was a being of light, then
that person deserves heaven.
However, the Bible teaches us that we are all sinners as Romans 3:10 says.
Ecclesiastes 7:20 says.
Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and who never
sins.

To sin is to break God's laws (1 John 3:4). In other words, before God we are all criminals
and every criminal is subject to a sentence.
God decrees in Ezekiel 18:4 the soul that sins will die and also in
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord.

So upon all souls falls a sentence of eternal damnation in hell. No one is born saved, all
souls by default are headed to hell. And before that sentence we are completely lost, you
cannot pay for sins by doing works of charity, or attending church or fulfilling the
sacraments all that before God is garbage.

Isaiah 64:6→ For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous
deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf, And our iniquities, like the
wind, take us away.

But God is full of mercy and did not want to condemn souls, on the contrary, he wants all
souls to be saved as it says in 1 Timothy 2:3-4 and that none be lost 2 Peter 3:9 and for that
reason he provided a unique way to save souls. Someone had to pay for that condemnatory
sentence and that someone was Christ. God himself became Flesh and paid what our souls
deserved to pay. The good news of salvation of our souls is in
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 → For I passed on to you as of first importance what I also received:
that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that he was buried, and that
he was raised the third day according to the Scriptures,

Christ saved us by substitution of condemnation. And now He only demands that you
believe Him with all your faith. That you have full assurance that you are already going to
heaven as a result of the redemptive and perfect work of Christ on the Cross. Any
dependence on You only makes you a condemned religious person.

You need to place all your faith in Christ who died for your sins and thus saved your soul
from hell. Once saved, always saved, your soul is safe no matter what sin you commit
because Christ has already allowed himself to be imputed with all the sins of humanity.
Nowadays the sentence is for unbelief or you believe that Christ died for your sins or you
will have to pay for them in hell.

John 8:24
Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am he,
you will die in your sins.

Don't put it off, tomorrow might be too late. You don't know if today is your last day to be
saved from hell, then when you die and are condemned, nothing can be done, you will
remain there for all eternity suffering terribly. Please put all your faith in the fact that Christ
died for your sins and saved you. God bless you.
