O R D E R:
In the Government Order reference 1st read above, permission was
accorded to establish 1600 MW of Pumped Storage Hydro Power (PSP)
Projects to M/s. Adani Green Energy Ltd to setup at Pedakota in Alluri
Seetharama Raju District (1000 MW) and Raiwada in Vizianagaram and
Anakapalli Districts (600 MW).
2. In the reference 4th cited, NREDCAP has accorded approval for
execution of 1000 MW Pedakota PSP Project through M/s. Adani Hydro
Energy Four Limited, and for execution of 600 MW Raiwada PSP Project
through M/s. Adani Hydro Energy One Limited which are the group
companies of M/s. Adani Green Energy Limited.
3. Through the references 5th & 6th cited, M/s Adani Hydro Energy Four
Limited & M/s Adani Hydro Energy One Limited have requested for
enhancement of PSP allotted capacities and water as follows:-
i. Pedakota PSP:
a. Enhancement of Pedakota PSP project capacity from 1000 MW to

1800 MW.
b. Revised water allocation enhancing to 16.547 MCM for initial
filling and 0.845 MCM towards annual recoupment on account of
evaporation losses.
ii. Raiwada PSP:
a. Enhancement of Raiwada PSP project capacity from 600 MW to
900 MW.
b. Revised water allocation enhancing to 23 MCM for initial filling
and 3.7 MCM towards annual recoupment on account of
evaporation losses.
4. In the reference 8th read above, NREDCAP has communicated the
remarks on the request of M/s. Adani Hydro Energy Four Limited & M/s.
Adani Hydro Energy One Limited, has requested the Government to
consider the requests of M/s. AGEL and the SPVs/subsidiaries of M/s.
AGEL, for enhancement of PSP capacities in respect of Pedakota and
Raiwada PSP Projects.
5. The request of M/s. Adani Hydro Energy Four Limited & M/s. Adani
Hydro Energy One Limited have been placed before the State Investment
Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting held on 19.06.2025. The SIPB has taken
the following decisions:-
i. SIPB has agreed to consider the request of M/s. Adani Hydro Energy
Four Limited for enhancement of capacity of Pedakota Pumped
Storage Project in Alluri Seetharama Raju District from 1000 MW to
1800 MW and the request of M/s. Adani Hydro Energy One Limited
for enhancement of capacity of Raiwada Pumped Storage Project in
Vizianagaram and Anakapalli Districts from 600 MW to 900 MW.
ii. SIPB has agreed to consider the request of M/s. Adani Hydro Energy
Four Ltd. for enhancing the water allocation to 16.547 MCM for
initial filling and 0.845 MCM towards annual recoupment on
account of evaporation losses subject to availability and as per the
prevailing guidelines of the Water Resources Department.
iii. SIPB has agreed to consider the request of M/s. Adani Hydro Energy
One Limited for enhancing the water allocation to 23 MCM for initial
filling and 3.70 MCM towards annual recoupment on account of
evaporation losses subject to availability and as per the prevailing
guidelines of the Water Resources Department.
6. The Government after detailed examination of requests of M/s. Adani
Hydro Energy Four Limited and M/s. Adani Hydro Energy One Limited, has
accorded approval for the following:-
a. Accorded approval for enhancement of Pedakota PSP project capacity
from 1000 MW to 1800 MW and for enhancement of water allocation
of one-time use from 11.13 MCM to 16.547 MCM and annual make-up
from 0.45 MCM to 0.845 MCM subject to availability and as per the

prevailing guidelines of the Water Resources Department.
b. Accorded approval for enhancement of Raiwada PSP project capacity
from 600 MW to 900 MW and for enhancement of water allocation of
one-time use from 9 MCM to 23 MCM and annual make-up from
0.36 MCM to 3.70 MCM subject to availability and as per the
prevailing guidelines of the Water Resources Department.
c. The developer shall obtain necessary approvals/clearances for the
enhanced capacities from Central Electricity Authority (CEA) and
other statutory authorities.
d. The developer(s) shall pay the applicable statutory fees and reimburse
the expenditure incurred by the NREDCAP in preparation of
Feasibility Reports and DPRs.
7. The terms and conditions issued in the G.O 1st read above are also
applicable for the enhanced capacity ordered at para 6 above.
8. The Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, New and Renewable Energy
Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh shall take necessary action
accordingly.
