UPSC CSE 2026 – July 2025 Micro Plan

🎯 Designed based on completed June targets: Modern History, 35 Polity chapters, Sociology
(till Thinkers), NCERTs, MCQs, Answer Writing.

📌 Overall Goals for July


 • Complete remaining Polity chapters + light revision.
 • Start and complete Economy NCERTs (Class 11 & 12) + Basic Economy book (e.g.
Ramesh Singh/NCERT Summary).
 • Start Sociology Paper 1 Unit 3 and Unit 4 (Work & Economic Life + Stratification).
 • Begin Environment basics (Shankar IAS/PMF notes or NCERT chapters).
 • Continue daily Indian Express + CA note-making.
 • Write 1 GS + 1 Optional answer every day (except Sunday).
 • Take 1 full Prelims mock test every Sunday.

Week 1 (July 1–7)


 • Finish remaining Polity chapters (36–47) + flashcard revision.
 • Start Economy NCERT Class 11: Units 1–4.
 • Sociology Unit 3: Work & Economic Life – 3 subtopics.
 • Daily answer writing (1 GS + 1 Sociology).
 • MCQs + Indian Express daily.
 • Sunday: Full syllabus revision test (Modern History).

Week 2 (July 8–14)


 • Economy NCERT Class 11: Units 5–10.
 • Start Environment basics – Components + Ecosystem.
 • Sociology Unit 3: Finish remaining subtopics.
 • Start Sociology Unit 4: Stratification (Caste & Class).
 • Answer writing + MCQs continue.
 • Sunday: Prelims mock test + revise Economy.

Week 3 (July 15–21)


 • Start Economy NCERT Class 12 (Macro) – Units 1–6.
 • Environment: Biodiversity, Climate Change.
 • Sociology Unit 4: Gender + Ethnicity + Revision.
 • GS2 topics: Governance, Pressure Groups (ARC-based).
 • Answer writing: 1 GS + 1 Optional Q daily.
 • Sunday: Prelims mock test + revise Sociology Unit 3–4.
Week 4 (July 22–31)
 • Economy: Basic Budgeting, Fiscal Policy, Sectors of Economy.
 • Environment: Pollution, Env. Laws & Policies.
 • Sociology Paper 1: Revision of Units 1–4 (1-pager notes).
 • Start light touch of Sociology Unit 5 (Family/Kinship).
 • Answer writing continues; test yourself on previous PYQs.
 • Sunday: Full Prelims mock + GS2 revision.

🧠 Suggested Daily Study Structure


8am–11am – Static Subjects (Economy, Polity, Sociology)

11:30am–1:30pm – Current Affairs (Indian Express + Notes)

3pm–5pm – Optional or Environment

6pm–7pm – MCQ Practice

8pm–9pm – Answer Writing

9pm–10pm – Revision or Mind Map Creation
