range. With the Amels 60, Espen and his team deliver nothing

We invited the team at Studio Indigo to create a design concept for the Amels 60 interiors. Founded in 2005 by Creative Director Mike Fisher,
the London-based studio specialises in architecture, interior design and yachts. They bring over 15 years of design experience within luxury
super-prime land-based projects, both in the UK and internationally. Comprising a skilled team of 50 designers and architects, Studio Indigo brings
a fresh new approach to the yachting industry and has recently captured the market’s attention with their award-winning innovation.

Studio Indigo took some of Espen Øino’s striking external design elements into the fresh, new interior concept.
The objective was to bring the outside in to ensure a unified look throughout the yacht.

Our collaboration with designer Andrew Winch goes
right back to his early days at Jon Bannenberg in
the 1980s. Since then we have created many iconic
superyachts for our clients together, including the
by Winch Design interiors of the largest Amels yacht to date,
the 83-metre HERE COMES THE SUN (272 ft).
WINCH DESIGN

As part of Winch Design’s commitment to a meaningfully sustainable future,

the interiors team has spent six months deep diving into the world of truly sustainable
materials. Meticulous attention to detail was paid to both the materials and
production, plus sourcing and packaging processes to ensure that Winch is making
a genuine contribution to sustainable design.

Sand is sculpted and pressurised using air and water to create a centre-piece wall finish that mimics the form of raw stone and fine,
almost translucent layers of aloe vera create an almost coral-like textural finish in the surrounding niches.

Bridge Deck Lounge

The Bridge Deck Lounge, bar and aft deck is the hub for dining and entertaining on board. Already sizeable

and full of light at almost 60 square metres (630 sq ft), the lounge opens with sliding glass doors to the aft deck

outdoor dining area – a total space of 110 square metres of indoor-outdoor heaven (1,184 sq ft).

Owners Stateroom
The Owner selected Winch Design to create harmonious custom interiors. The design

captures the feel and style of a relaxed family home on the water. The Owners Office

on Main Deck (pictured) is located next to the folding balcony.

Beach Club

Accessed via both the transom door and the central staircase on Lower Deck,
the 28 square-metre Beach Club (301 sq ft) features a fitness area and sauna
with glass wall. The space can also be customised to individual requirements
– for example a dive centre or a surf and wakeboard store.

Your yacht’s engines are happiest running at a consistent 80-90 percent
load – burning fuel efficiently with a lean mixture. The Hybrid by Amels system
applies the optimum number of engines running at optimum load with batteries
to absorb fluctuations in demand – for example peak demands from your
air-conditioning, galley or bow thruster. With a steady optimum load, you avoid
unnecessary engine load fluctuations and unnecessary starts and stops, so your
engines burn fuel efficiently while wear and tear decreases. You save fuel costs,
maintenance costs and reduce harmful emissions.
